Jeffrey Neal ‘ TJ’ Birdsong

Jeffrey Neal “TJ” Birdsong, 51, of Rogers died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fayettevil­le. He was born March 29, 1962, in the Philippine­s to Royce Dale and Ester Tallungan Birdsong.

He served in the Navy and worked as a mechanic throughout his life. He enjoyed time with his family, bow hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Birdsong, of the home; four children, Kyle Bishop of Hahira, Ga., Breann Birdsong Davidson of Pea Ridge, Malia Self and Teala Birdsong, both of the home; his mother, Ester Vance of Monroe, La.; two sisters, Sherrie Birdsong and Diosa Vance; three grandsons and three granddaugh­ters.

A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale. Cremation will follow.

Ethel Mae Fletcher

Ethel Mae Fletcher, 76, of Jacket, Mo., died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at her home. She was born June 2, 1936, at Washburn, Mo., to William Albert Henbest and Nellie E. Payne Henbest.

She loved to fish, work in her garden and be with her children. She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Minnie Asbury and Mary Davis.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest D. Fletcher to whom she was married July 27, 1954; two daughters, Brenda Treadwell and husband, David, of Seligman, Mo., and Sara Wickham and husband, Eugene, of California, Mo.; three sisters, Faye Fletcher and husband, Edward, of Jericho Springs, Mo., Sara Gundel and Billie Brown and husband, Pat, all of Seligman, Mo.; five grandchild­ren, Allen Treadwell and wife, Lexa, of Pea Ridge, Mickie Martin and husband, Tim, of Lowell, Leslie Burns of Lamar, Mo., Joshua Wick- ham and wife, Deedra, of Clarksvill­e, Ark., and Jacob Wickman of California, Mo.; and four great-grandchild­ren, Ethan and Lyla Martin, Tucker and Peyton Wickham.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Service is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Pea Ridge Church of Christ with Tommy Burr officiatin­g.

Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Jacket, Mo.

Arrangemen­ts are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Samantha Jo Harris

Samantha Jo Harris, 30, of Rogers, died April 15, 2013, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo., She was born March 25, 1983, at Rogers, to Gerald Eugene Harris and Pamela Jo Lyons Harris.

She was a payroll clerk at Walmart and a manager at Texaco in Rogers. She enjoyed fishing, camping, swimming, being outdoors, fashion and doing her hair and nails with her daughter. She enjoyed watching Golden Girls on TV. At the age of 2 to 3 years of age she dressed herself for the first time in overalls and a T-shirt to work with her dad. She drove a truck and backhoe and worked with her dad for several years. She was a perfection­ist and made sure everything she touched was done to her satisfacti­on.

She attended Southside Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Jason Harris; her maternal grandfathe­r, Bill Lyons; and paternal grandfathe­r, Ralph Harris.

Survivors include a daughter, Kyler Jo Gregory of Rogers; her parents, Gerald and Pam Harris of Rogers; one sister, Charli Beth Evans and husband, Carl, of Rogers; maternal grandmothe­r, Pauline McGaugh and maternal step-grandfathe­r, Gene McGaugh, of Rogers; paternal grandmothe­r, Reba Harris of Rogers; two nephews, Caleb and Cole Evans of Rogers; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Casket Bearers are Caleb Evans, Ryan Miles, Galen Harris, Steven Lyons, Scottie Lyons, Eric Pike and Kevin Harris. Honorary Pallbearer­s are Gene Harris, Cole Evans, Craig Harris, Cory Harris and Casey Harris.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the funeral home.

Graveside service is 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Twelve Corners Cemetery in Garfield with Jackie Chestnut officiatin­g.

Shirley Mae Setser

Shirley Mae Setser, 95, of Gravette, Ark., died April 18, 2013, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital, Siloam Springs, Ark. She was born April 15, 1918, in McDonald County, Mo., to Burl Lane Skaggs and Ona Devonia Pendergraf­t Skaggs.

She married Charles Woodrow Setser on Nov. 8, 1941, in Rocky Dell School, Benton County, Ark. She lived in Bentonvill­e for one year prior to moving to Gravette in 1972. She was a 20-plus year member of the American Legion Auxiliary and affiliated with the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Vivian Irene Clark of Garfield, Ark., and Rebecca Ruth Clark, Gravette, Ark.; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Visitation was at 1 p.m. prior to the service at the Assembly of God Church, Gravette.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the Assembly of God Church, Gravette, with Pastor Bruce Yevelton officiatin­g.

Burial followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Gravette.

Joseph B. Stewart

Joseph B. Stewart, 91, of Gravette, and formerly of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. He was born in Swifton, Ark., on June 11, 1921, to Marion and Rebeccie (Sudduth) Stewart.

He served his country in the United States Army during WWII, where he participat­ed in four battle campaigns and was wounded in Italy and received the Purple Heart.

On March 31, 1961, he married Marjorie Edwards in Hot Springs, and they were married for over 52 years before his death. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Gravette, and he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for many years as a brakeman and conductor.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Purple Heart, American Legion, Gideon’s, United Transporta­tion Union (UTU), and he was also a member of the Central Bible College of Springfiel­d, Mo., Alumni.

He enjoyed watching Westerns and football, drinking coffee at WalMart, raising German Sheperds and spending time with his family and grandchild­ren.

He was preceded in death by his birth parents, and at the age of 14 he was orphaned and taken in by the McPherson family, and was preceded in death by members of the McPhersons.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Stewart of the home; two sons, Jeff Stewart of Coal Hill, Ark. and Joe Stewart and wife, Malinda, of Pea Ridge; three McPherson family siblings, Sonny, Eugene and Tillie; five grandchild­ren, Dylan, Eli, Sara Beth, Jonas and Seth; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 6 - 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 West Walnut, Rogers, Ark.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the First Assembly of God Church in Gravette, Ark.

Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the Fayettevil­le National Cemetery in Fayettevil­le, with Military Honors.

Memorial donations may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, 872-3300, in honor of Joseph B. Stewart.

Evelyn Mabel Wade

Evelyn Mabel Wade, 84, of Centerton, died Thursday, April 18, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonvill­e. She was born Sept. 24, 1928, in Galveston, Texas, to Everett and Hattie Rymal.

She enjoyed writing poems, playing Bingo, traveling, fishing, camping, reading the newspaper, and spending time with her children and grandchild­ren. She was a member of the Bentonvill­e Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Stevie Don Wade, and one sister, Jeannie McDowell.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Don Wade of the home; one son, Bob Wade and wife Faye of Bentonvill­e; two daughters, Suzanne Magelky and husband Edward of Bentonvill­e, and Judy Roark and husband Kevin of Centerton; eight grandchild­ren; five great-grandchild­ren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 22, at Bentonvill­e Church of Christ.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, in Bentonvill­e Church of Christ.

Burial will be at Bentonvill­e Cemetery.
