How to retire from the everyday grind to resort-style living

Scenic views of the Ozark Mountains, frequent parties and activities and a maintenance-free home await those who choose to live in the Concordia Retirement Community.
Concordia, located on 26 acres in the hills of Bella Vista, takes over most of the responsibilities of home ownership while still offering residents plenty of choices to create the perfect home.
Concordia continues steady growth each year because of its friendly staff and residents, abundant activities, good food and reliable services such as housekeeping, said marketing director Linda Woollett.
Residents can choose from six floor plans of spacious townhouses or comfortable apartments with one or two bedrooms. Some homes have dens or porches, while others have full kitchens or just kitchenettes.
Homes are rented month to month, and the rent includes all utilities except cable TV. It also covers maintenance and housekeeping, including fresh towels and linens.

Residents can enjoy meals in the newly renovated dining room. Concordia also has a wellness center, a library, several multipurpose rooms for activities and games, religious services, garden plots, a private dining room and a large-screen television for playing Wii games or watching movies or TV shows.
While Concordia encourages a relaxed lifestyle, those who like a little activity won’t be disappointed. Dances, mystery trips, exercise classes, movie nights, games and crafts are just a few of the activities often offered to residents.
Residents can use their own transportation, or they can take advantage of Concordia’s transportation services. Private cars or a 20-passenger van can take residents to doctor’s appointments, personal errands or other destinations.
Concordia offers tours six days a week, which includes a complimentary lunch in the dining room. Tours by individuals or small groups can be arranged by calling Woollett at (479) 8553714.
