Harold Morris Cothran

Harold Morris Cothran, 69, of Pea Ridge, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonvill­e. He was born March 15, 1944, in Forrest City, Ark., to Guy Cothran Jr. and Imogene Cooper Cothran.

He lived practicall­y his whole life in Pea Ridge and graduated from Pea Ridge High School in 1962. He formerly worked at SBC, now AT&T in Rogers as a lineman and cable splicer. He enjoyed visiting with his friends at the “coffee shop.”

He was an avid hunter of turkey, and an archery hunter of deer and Colorado elk. He was a craftsman, building Hawkin style black powder rifles and restoring Model A Ford cars. He built his home and was also involved in building the new First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge. He participat­ed in mission trips to Cody, Wyo.; Vinton, La.; Anadarko, Okla.; Imperial, Mo.; and Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers. He loved the Lord and serving Him. He loved his grandchild­ren and looked forward to his time with them.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Lasater of Pea Ridge.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia Taylor Cothran of the home; his mother, Imogene Lasater of O’Fallon, Ill.; a son, Brandon Cothran and wife, Yong, of Bentonvill­e; a brother, Mark Lasater and wife, Cindy, of Magnolia, Ark.; a sister, Brenda Futrell and husband, Dena, of O’Fallon, Ill.; three grandchild­ren, Hayden Cothran, Cooper Cothran and Erica Reaser; an uncle, Keith Cooper of Fayettevil­le; two nephews, Aaron and Sam; and nieces, Abbie, Ashley and Heather.

His funeral service was 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with the Rev. Tom Hatley and Rev. George Wisley officiatin­g.

Burial was at Pea Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the 20/20 conference project which trains pastors in Northern India, c/o Immanuel Baptist Church, 2555 S. 26th Street, Rogers, AR 72758.

There is no visitation planned.

Oral Franklin Cover

Oral Franklin Cover, 93, of Bella Vista, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Highlands Healthcare Center. He was born March 1, 1920, in Willow Springs, Mo., to Louia Pittman and Hugh Cover.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He owned and operated Cover Shoe Store and a remodeling business for many years. He loved spending quality time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, woodworkin­g and reading, but his greatest joy was serving God. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge. He had lived in the northwest Arkansas area for 24 years after moving from Arkansas City, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; June Cover; several siblings; one niece; and one nephew.

Survivors include one son, David Cover and his partner Christophe­r Sellars, of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Charlotte Cover, of Seminole, Fla., Karen Kwarcinski and her husband Paul, of Pea Ridge, and Stacey Pehosh and her husband Brett, of Bella Vista; two brothers, Stanley Cover and his wife Shirley, of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Vance Cover and his wife Deana, of Liberty, Mo.; one sister; Audrey Hayes, of Cuba, Mo.; and one grandchild, Sarah Kwarcinski.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge with pastor Al Fowler and the Rev. Leaon Griswold and Stanley Cover officiatin­g.

Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse.

Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge to the “Building Fund.”

Full military honors will be provided by Northwest Arkansas Honor Guard.

Arthur Lee Easter

Arthur Lee Easter, 79, of Siloam Springs, died Oct. 10, 2013, in his home. He was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Winslow, to Edmond and Sylvia Hampton Easter.

He was a farmer and en- joyed raising chickens. He served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Annette Smith Easter, of the home; 13 children; one brother, Virgil Easter and wife, Ruby, of Lowell; sisters, Gladys Main of Lowell, Girdie Rice and Bertha Laird and husband, Lonnie, all Rogers, and Goldie Johnson of Seligman, Mo.; 34 grandchild­ren; 12 greatgrand­children; and 27 nieces and nephews.

Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th Street, Rogers.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the House of Prayer in Rogers with pastor Jeff Patterson officiatin­g.

Burial with military honors will follow in the Pratt Cemetery.
