Tuesday, Nov. 12

8 a.m. Police were notified of a reckless driver heading into the city on Ark. Hwy. 72. Police located the vehicle and made a traffic stop and arrested Matthew R. Shaw, 30, Rogers, for DWI and driving on a suspended driver’s license.

8:20 a.m. Police were notified that a child was struck by a car in the crosswalk, but not injured. A 14-year-old girl reported she was in the crosswalk at the entrance to Pea Ridge Primary School at 7:53 a.m. when she was struck by a silver SUV driven by a female who was talking on her cell phone. She was checked by the school nurse. The incident is under investigat­ion.

11:57 a.m. Police were dispatched to a suspicious circumstan­ce near the intersecti­on of McNair and Chapman streets. An audible alarm was heard from a residence nearby. The alarm was shut off ; the residence was secure.

1:50 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on West Pike Street for an un- responsive female. It was determined to be an unattended death.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

12:51 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on East Pickens Road for a disturbanc­e. A couple admitted to arguing and fighting, but did not want to press charges.

5:45 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residentia­l alarm at a residence on Ford Street.

1 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Cody Wayne Olguin, 24, Rogers, for driving on a suspended driver’s license, DWI related, and transporte­d him to the Benton County Jail.

Thursday, Nov. 14

1:55 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Eagle Crest for Bentonvill­e Police to locate a women who was listed as the owner of a vehicle found in the middle of J Street. She said the vehicle belongs to her ex-husband.

12:30 p.m. A resident of Kaylynn Drive turned in a bicycle he had found on Hallack Lane.

4 p.m. A resident of Todd Circle reported suspicious circumstan­ces involving someone trying to “hack into” her laptop, Facebook and Internet. The incident is under investigat­ion.

4:10 p.m. An employee at Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic reported that someone had turned in dogs they found running loose on It’ll Do Road.

8:10 p.m. Police were notified by Boone County, Ark., Sheriff ’s deputies that they had Robert Nelson, 43, Bella Vista, in custody. Nelson was wanted on warrants from Pea Ridge and Bentonvill­e. He was booked into the Benton County Jail in connection with theft of checks and the subsequent theft of vehicles purchased with the checks stolen from a business in Pea Ridge.

Friday, Nov. 15

2:20 p.m. As a result of a report of a reckless driver, police located the suspect vehicle, observed the vehicle cross both the center line and fog line and made a traffic stop. As a result, police arrested Debora A. French, 56, Fayettevil­le, for DWI.

6:25 p.m. Police served a warrant on Tony Davis, 26, Rogers, who had been arrested by Benton County Sheriff ’s Office. Davis was arrested for theft of property in connection with thefts from O’Reilly’s Auto Parts on an account owned by a Pea Ridge resident, for whom Davis had previously worked. The initial report was made Dec. 3, 2012. The thefts reported occurred in October 2012, according to the police report.

7:30 p.m. Police served a warrant of arrest to Kimberly R. Beauchamp, 39, at her residence in Pea Ridge. An affidavit by the prosecutin­g attorney was the result of an investigat­ion into an incident that was reported Oct. 29 concerning an incident that occurred at a ballgame Monday, Oct. 29, in which it was reported that an adult had assaulted a student.

7:33 p.m. Police were dispatched to O’Reilly Auto Parts parking lot for a report of a small child left in a vehicle. Police discovered a 1-year-old female child appropriat­ely dressed for the conditions, secured in a child safety seat and in a car that was running with the heater on. The adult was advised to not leave the child in the vehicle.

10:08 p.m. Police arrested Douglas James, 51, Pea Ridge, for DWI 3, driving on a suspended driver’s license/suspended for DWI, and refusal to submit as a result of an investigat­ion into a suspicious circumstan­ce at a residence on Patton Street.

Saturday, Nov. 16

7:56 a.m. Police were called to McDonald’s for an emergency unlock with two small children locked in a vehicle. The owner of the vehicle said one of the children locked the door when he stepped out of the vehicle. Neither police nor a firefighte­r were able to unlock the vehicle. Emergency medical personnel monitored the children while awaiting a locksmith. Prior to the locksmith’s arrival, a firefighte­r was able to retrieve the keys and unlock the vehicle. The children were determined to be safe.

11:57 a.m. A police officer reported receiving an e-mail from a resident of Garfield who said her daughter was being harassed. She said she believes it is in connection with a complaint her daughter made against an adult for a confrontat­ion. A note with profanity on it was found on the 15-year-old girl’s vehicle which was parked in the high school parking lot. The incident is under investigat­ion.

10:14 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Hutchinson Street for a physical disturbanc­e; while enroute, police were notified that the male suspect had left the residence. The female reported that during an argument, her husband punched her leaving a mark. She told police she did not want to press charges.

11:03 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Gen. Franz Sigel Drive for a physical disturbanc­e. While enroute, police were notified the suspect was leaving the residence. Moments later, according to the police report, the dispatcher notified police the suspect had crashed his vehicle, a black Camaro, into a residence on Gen. Franz Sigel. As a result of the investigat­ion, police arrested Joe Huffman, 43, Pea Ridge, for felony second-degree criminal mischief; two counts of third-degree domestic battery; first offense DWI; second degree interferen­ce with emergency communicat­ions; and third-degree assault on a family or household member.

Sunday, Nov. 17

8:53 p.m. Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Patton Street for a power line and tree down. The power company was notified and the street was closed until a representa­tive from the power company arrived.

1:11 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on West Harris Street for an unresponsi­ve male. It was determined to be an unattended death. The coroner was notified.

Monday, Nov. 18

9:30 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Huymphrey Street for a possible vandalism. There was evidence that someone had attempted to pry into the gas cap of the resident’s vehicle.

4:19 p.m. A resident of Benton Drive reported he had received a letter stating he would be fined for parking in the grass. He said other residents had received a similar letter. It ws determined it was a civil issue with the letter from the Property Owners Associatio­n.
