Tuesday, Nov. 19

8:45 a.m. Police were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident involving a vehicle driven by Langston Ashmore, 23, of Bentonvill­e, hitting and damaging the awning over the drive-through window at Blackhawk Grill with a round bale of hay on the back of the truck he was driving.

9:25 a.m. While on the way to Rogers on Ark. Hwy. 94, a police officer was stopped behind a garbage truck and observed a vehicle pass several vehicles in a no-passing zone. He made a traffic stop and notified Little Flock Police of the incident. Little Flock Police cited the driver.

5 p.m. Police were notified of a missing 6-year-old child. The reporting party said her kindergart­en-age grandson was not at her house, nor her neighbor’s, where he was supposed to be dropped off by the school bus. The child was found safe at a nearby daycare; he had a note pinned to his shirt saying that was where he was to be dropped off. School officials are investigat­ing who wrote the note.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

10:40 a.m. Police observed three dogs running loose in the area of North Harvey Wakefield. The dogs appeared to have pushed a board loose from a fence on a residence on General Franz Sigel. There were no city tags on any of the dogs. The owner of two of the dogs, Tammy Walker, 46, Pea Ridge, was cited for two counts of no city tags and one count of dog at large. It was determined that another person owned the third dog.

11:20 a.m. Theft of a vehicle amp was reported from Castle Rental and Pawn.

5:33 p.m. Police received a report of a one-vehicle accident involving a vehicle driven by Charles Cutberth, 45, of Seligman, Mo., who said a deer ran into the side of his vehicle on Arkansas Highway 265 (Hayden Road) at Gates Lane.

Thursday, Nov. 21

5:16 p.m. A resident of East Watie Street reported that a 16-year-old male had run away from home; the youth was found and taken to Youth Bridge because he refused to stay home.

10:44 p.m. While on patrol, police observed a vehicle in the City Park after hours and initiated a traffic stop. As a result, Marina Careeve Hoofard, 21, Rogers, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug parapherna­lia.

Friday, Nov. 22

5:15 p.m. Police were dispatched to Tobacco Station on South Curtis Avenue for a disturbanc­e. An employee reported customers being argumentat­ive and she didn’t want them to return. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

9:50 p.m. Police received a report of a possible suicidal subject involving a juvenile female. It was determined she lived outside the city limits and the incident was turned over to Benton County Sheriff ’s deputies.

11:19 p.m. Police received a report of a one-vehicle accident involving a vehicle which ran through a fence of a residence on South Davis Street. The driver of the vehicle, Joshua Jones, 27, Pea Ridge, was cited for no proof of insurance and careless and prohibitiv­e driving. Damage to the fence was estimated at $400.

Saturday, Nov. 23

9 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Conrad Street for a report of a possibly stolen cell phone. It was discovered a youth had taken a phone from a neighbor’s house; the phone was returned. The victims did not want to press charges. The youth was counseled about taking things not belonging to him.

10:39 p.m. Police received a report of a female, wearing a sweatshirt and pajamas, standing at the intersecti­on of Arkansas Highways 72/94. Police were unable to locate the woman.

Sunday, Nov. 24

10:15 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Hall Street in regards to dogs running loose and threatenin­g to attack a man. When police arrived, the dogs, two Rottweiler­s, “aggressive­ly charged” the police car and scratched and bit at the car, according to the report. The dogs continued to act aggressive­ly as they headed south. One dog charged the police officer and was shot. The second dog was found as it crawled under a fence at a residence on West Harris Street. The dog was captured and taken to Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic. The adult from the residence was out of town for the weekend. She told police the female dog has been territoria­l and aggressive and she has been trying to get rid of it.

10:48 p.m. Police were dispatched to EZ Mart for a suspicious circumstan­ce involving people in the parking lot with a bottle of Vodka. The driver of the vehicle stated he found the other man walking in the middle of the road between Rogers and Little Flock while holding a bottle of Vodka. He said he offered him a ride so he wouldn’t get hit by a vehicle, but he was so intoxicate­d he couldn’t give good directions and they stopped at EZ Mart to call someone to come get him.
