Volunteers needed for tax assistance

The AARP Foundation Tax Aide program is seeking volunteers to assist low- to middle-income individual­s with federal and state income tax returns.

Volunteers are needed for sites in Fayettevil­le, Springdale, Rogers and Bella Vista.

The program is the nation’s largest volunteerr­un tax preparatio­n and assistance service. All volunteers are trained and certified by the Internal Revenue Service each year.

Gospel music open mic night set

Let’s Play Gospel Music Open Mic starts at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Seligman Chamber Event Center on Missouri Highway 37 North of Seligman, Mo.

Bring talent and an instrument and enjoy the fun and entertainm­ent.

Free admission to the public. A donation bucket will be passed around.

Players and singers will sign in on a numbered board and will play in order.

There will be snacks, no alcohol or smoking and no dancing allowed.

Everyone is welcome to play, sing or just listen. Emcees will be Charlies Williams and Judy Holt.

Soup supper for Snack/ Paks set

The Soup supper fundraiser for Snack/Paks for kids will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 824 W. Oak St., Rogers.

There are dine in and dine out options with a variety of soups.

Donations are requested.
