Davis named to Arvest All-Tourney team

ROGERS — Blackhawk junior Zach Davis was one of 10 high school athletes from Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri named to the All Tournament Team for their performanc­es in the 2013 Arvest Hoopfest basketball tournament.

The 10 players were chosen for the top honor following the three-day Hoopfest tournament held Dec. 12-14, 2013, at Rogers High School.

The players named to the All Tournament Team were: Hunter Hill of Rogers High School, Crist Olsen of Rogers Heritage High School, Chandler Myers of Mount Vernon High School, Kellion Williams of Waynesvill­e High School, Alex Foree of Fort Smith Southside High School, Jake Killingswo­rth of Rogers High School, Luke Call of Mount Vernon High School, Zach Davis of Pea Ridge High School and Stefone Richardson of Tulsa Edison High School.

Juwan Morgan of Waynesvill­e High School was chosen as the tournament’s most valuable player.

Waynesvill­e High School of Waynesvill­e, Mo., won the tournament this year.

Teams participat­ing were Rogers High School; Rogers Heritage High School; Pea Ridge High School; Fort Smith Southside High School; Mt. Vernon High School, Mt. Vernon, Mo.; Webb City High School, Webb City, Mo.; Waynesvill­e High School, Waynesvill­e, Mo.; and Tulsa Edison High School, Tulsa, Okla.

This is the sixth year that teams from outside Arkansas played in the tournament, which began in 2005.
