John Brasher Sr.

John Brasher Sr., 93, of Pea Ridge, died Monday, Feb. 17, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonvill­e. He was born Jan. 26, 1921, in Fort Smith to Thomas Frank Brasher and Ollie May Winters Brasher.

He married Muriel Frances Tindall on March 18, 1942. The couple moved to Pea Ridge from Bartlesvil­le, Okla., in October 1994 to make their home. He was an electronic technician and worked on EKG, CCG, radios and television. He was owner and operator of television repair businesses in both Bartlesvil­le and Pea Ridge for many years.

He was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Rogers

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Muriel; one daughter, Lisa Marie Dubose; one brother, Jim Brasher; and one sister, Etta May Weathers.

Survivors include two daughters, Frances Fletcher and husband, A.J., of Pea Ridge and Mary Wolf and husband, Stuart, of Saint Petersburg, Fla.; one son, John Brasher Jr. and wife, Diane, of Atlanta, Ga.; 18 grandchild­ren; 27 greatgrand­children; and 22 great-great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the funeral home.

Service was 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, in Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge.

Burial will be in St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery.

Beverly Judith DeWitt

Beverly Judith DeWitt, 70, of Garfield, died Feb. 19, 2014, at Ashley Health and Rehab in Rogers. She was born in Kansas City, Kan., on May 7, 1943, to Vernon Henry and Lena Ernestine (Davidson) Wiliker.

She retired from Glad Manufactur­ing where she was a production worker. She was a seamstress, and made all of her family’s wedding gowns. She was also talented in quilting and crocheting. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Wiliker.

Survivors include her husband, Donald DeWitt; children, Jenny Harris and husband, Jackie, of Rogers, James “Jimmy” DeWitt of Pea Ridge and Julie Bradberry and husband, Sean, of Rogers; siblings, Vicky Myers of Darby, Kan., and Ben Wiliker of Kansas City, Mo.; grandchild­ren, Jeromie Harris, Mattéa Martinez, Charakee DeWitt, Keegan Bradberry, Lanie DeWitt, Kacey Bradberry, Kenadie Bradberry and Kamie Harris; great-grandchild­ren, Landon and Peyton Carter; and a sister-in-law, Lula Foster of Fannin, Texas.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in the chapel of Rollins Funeral Home.

Burial was in Ruddick Cemetery.

Laura E. Morgan

Laura E. Morgan, 88, died Feb. 15, 2014, in Rogers. She was born on Nov. 25, 1925, in Mount Judea, Ark., to William M. and Verna Mae (Jones) Criner.

She was a lifetime resident of northwest Arkansas, moving to Bentonvill­e at age 3, then residing in Rogers, upon marrying Ralph E. Morgan in 1951. She was a kind and gentle soul who loved gardening, studying the Bible and spending time with family, especially her grandchild­ren.

She always put God first and was a wonderful role model to all who knew her. She was a member of Shepherd’s Chapel Church since 1978. Her sister, Lillian, and she owned and operated L&L Flea Market in Rogers for many years. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.

Survivors include her sons, David D. Morgan of Rogers, Paul L. Morgan of Garfield, Mark S. Morgan of Jane, Mo., and Timothy E. Morgan of Rogers; daughters, Rebekah A. Greenlee of Lowell, and Deborah M. Garner of Little Flock; sister, Rose Mary Williams Parbst of Monroe, La.; sev- en grandchild­ren; and two great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers.

Burial followed at Benton County Memorial Park.

Kenneth Patterson

Kenneth Patterson of Pea Ridge died Monday, Feb. 25, at his home.

Services are pending. Arrangemen­ts are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Richard Charles Swinger

Richard Charles Swinger, 61, of Garfield, died Feb. 16, 2014, after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born July 31, 1952, in Winfield, Kan., to Charles Leroy Swinger and Alyce Pearl Dorris Swinger.

He was a resident of Garfield for the past 33 years and was a cabinet builder by trade. He en- joyed spending time with his grandchild­ren, family and friends, and was always willing to lend a hand. He also enjoyed fishing and watching sports on TV.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Darrel and Dwane.

Survivors include his daughters, Lori Rolison and husband, Daniel, of Saucier, Miss., and Lisa Wilke and husband, Scott, of Seligman, Mo.; brothers, Ron Swinger and wife, Charlene of Wichita, Kan., and Gary Swinger and wife, Pam, of Wichita, Kan.; sister, Gloria Broad-books and husband, Dave, of Rogers; and grandchild­ren, Makenzie, Montana, Mollie, Matthan, Malachi, Miles, Luke, Sage, Samuel and Jude; four nieces; three nephews; 13 great-nieces and -nephews; one greatgreat-nephew and one great-great-niece.

Memorial services are 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Student Center East at Fellowship Bible Church, 1051 W. Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers, Ark.
