Virginia May Banks
Virginia May Banks, 88, of Washburn, Mo. died Saturday, April 12, at her home. She was born Sept. 8, 1925, in Pea Ridge to Arthur Ray Arnold and Viola Gillian Arnold.
She was a life-long resident of this area. Her life was about her family and she cared for them daily with a lot of love. She also loved cooking for all the big Sunday dinners, enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, working in her flower garden, and fishing, gardening and hunting with her husband. She worked at NW Arkansas Poultry doing line work for 40 years, retiring in 1986. She attended OK Assembly of God in Washburn, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years, Vernon Banks; a daughter, Patsy Ann Banks; five brothers, R.D. Arnold, Bob Arnold, J.D. Arnold, Russell Lee Arnold and Frankie Dale Arnold.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Jones and husband Ronnie of Washburn; a son, Avin Banks of Washburn; one brother, Jerry Arnold of Blackwell, Okla.; four sisters, Valentina Day of Pea Ridge, Rayetta Dewitt of Bentonville, Shirley Barrett of Centerton and Mary Louder of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren; 18 great-grand children; 10 great-great grandchildren; and several step-great- and great-greatgrandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Service is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge with Brother Robert Ward, Brother Karty Burbridge and Brother Mike Shelton officiating.
Burial will be in Dent Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Shelia Elaine Johnson
Shelia Elaine Johnson, 54, of Garfield, died April 9, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born in Coolidge, Ariz., on Nov. 5, 1959, to Jimmy and Louise (McKee) Johnson.
She was a 1978 graduate of Pea Ridge High School and worked many years at the North Arkansas Poultry Plant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Allison Mae Johnson; brothers, Jimmy Johnson Jr. and Ronnie Johnson; and two nephews.
Survivors include her siblings, Debra Howell of Garfield, Steve Johnson of Garfield, Bertha Duffy of Bentonville, Eddie Johnson of Rogers and David Johnson of Garfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, greatnieces, great-nephews; and many friends.
Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Laurence Albert Jester
Laurence Albert Jester, 78, of Washburn, Mo., died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Mo. He was born Nov. 8, 1935, in Bentonville, Ark., to Charles Albert and Adeamae (McNelly) Jester.
He was a graduate of Plainview High School in Plainview, Kan. During the Korean War, he entered the United States Navy, serving from Aug. 3, 1954, until June 30, 1958.
For 28 years he was employed as a surveyor/ inspector for Crafton & Tull Architectural Engineers in Rogers, Ark.
He was a member of Washburn First Baptist Church. Some of his favorite pastimes were watching bull riding and Animal Planet, drinking “not-sosweet” sweet tea and sitting on his deck watching his farm and family.
On Feb. 18, 1966, in Bentonville, he was united in marriage to Linda Townsend, who survives.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Allen, Donnie and Terry; one sister, Betty Jean Wilson; and one grandson, Michael Jester.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tim Mattingly of Washburn, Mo., and Chuck Jester and his wife, Robbie, of Washburn, Mo.; four daughters, Lisa Jester of Provo, Utah, Robin Epling of Springfield, Mo., JoDee Anderson and her husband, Ronnie, of Seligman, Mo., and Nancy Jester of Washburn, Mo.; one brother, Robert Moore of Washburn, Mo.; one sister, Ruth Ann Roughton and her husband, Roy, of Bentonville, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Keisha, Gary, Brent, Felicia, Cecilia, Danny, Katie and Harleigh Jo; and one great-granddaughter, Tinlee.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 10, 2014, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Mo.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at Oakes Cemetery in Bella Vista, Ark., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Mo., with pastors Glenn Erwin and Jamie Townsend will conduct the services.
Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Laurence.
