Monday, July 14

3 p.m. While on patrol, police observed four bicycles in the side yard of a residence believed to be abandoned. As a result of the investigat­ion, police found four juveniles in the house — two 9-year-olds, a 10-year-old and an 11-year-old. After contacting the juvenile probation intake officer, police contacted the children’s parents, who arrived on the scene. The children were counseled about their actions and told their decisions have consequenc­es. They were released to their parents. Police were unable to contact the owner of the residence.

Tuesday, July 15

8:30 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Sugar Creek Road for an agency assist to Benton County Sheriff ’s Office. There was reportedly a theft in progress. The resident reported someone was attempting to take her van. Police spoke to the suspects, gathered informatio­n and turned it over to the BCSO deputy.

9:15 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on North Curtis Avenue for a verbal disturbanc­e. The parties who were arguing separated.

6 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Hickman Drive for a disturbanc­e not in progress. The parties admitted they had been arguing before one person left. They agreed to stop arguing. No charges were filed.

8:47 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Frost Street for a disturbanc­e between an 18-year-old woman and her father who was refusing to give her some of her property. The man was advised to return the property to her as she is an adult.

Wednesday, July 16

6:57 p.m. Police were dispatched to a business on Slack Street involving a woman attempting to pay for items with a check that was not hers. As a result of the investigat­ion, it was determined the checks were stolen. Police arrested Joy Spender, 35, Springdale, on three counts of felony forgery.

10:04 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on North Davis Street for a criminal mischief report involving someone “egging” their vehicle. The vehicle had egg residue on it. Police were unable to contact the suspect.

Thursday, July 17

2:18 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Weston Street for a report of second-degree terroristi­c threatenin­g involving her 16-year-old daughter receiving threatenin­g text messages from someone threatenin­g to “slit her throat.”

6:57 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Rains Street involving someone trying to take a woman’s pickup truck. It was determined it was a civil call.

Friday, July 18

4:39 p.m. Police were dispatched to the parking lot of a business on Slack Street for a parking lot accident involving vehicles owned by Mark Bryant, 27, Pea Ridge, and Edyth Lammey, 81, Rogers.

Sunday, July 20

11:49 a.m. Police were dispatched to a resident on Smith Street for a dog running loose. It was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

7:20 p.m. A church official reported a woman had come to the church cursing and yelling and threatenin­g to “put a bullet in his head” if the pastor attempted to visit her family.
