Brightwate­r United Methodist Church

Brightwate­r United Methodist Church hosts a senior citizen lunch at 11:30 a.m. Thursday for $3. Dinners are prepared at Bentonvill­e Senior Center and brought to the church at 14108 E. U.S. Hwy. 62, between Garfield and Avoca. Call 479-359-3772 for reservatio­ns no later than Wednesday.

First Baptist Church, Garfield

Wednesday night programs 6 p.m. Youth & Children activities; 6:30 p.m. Adult Bible study and prayer.

A walking group has started and meets at 6:30 on Tuesdays at the Pea Ridge High School track.

Messiah Lutheran Church

Vacation Bible School is scheduled from 5:30 - 8 p.m. Sunday, July 27, through Thursday, July 31. VBS Ceremony will be the following Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The evening’s events will begin with a light meal and then on to activities.

New Prospect Baptist Church

Vacation Bible School, Agency D3 Special Agents, is slated for 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, through Friday, Aug. 1, at New Prospect Baptist Church, located on the corner of Gann Ridge and Mill Hill roads, Gateway. The motto is Discover. Decide. Defend. The Scripture is 1 Peter 3:15: “But honor the Messiah as Lord in your hearts. Bella Vista Christian Church

“Bless the Backpacks” will be held at Bella Vista Christian Church at both Sunday services — 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3. All children are welcome to bring their packs for a special time of blessing and prayer.
