Monday, Aug. 4

10:23 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Wood Street for a theft complaint involving missing prescripti­on drugs. The incident is under investigat­ion.

4:45 p.m. Police received a report of money stolen from a checking account. A Pea Ridge resident reported numerous charges to her bank account from someone apparently using a fake debit card. Charges were made for more than $800 on the card. The incident is under investigat­ion.

4:20 p.m. A resident of Drew Lane reported someone had been driving at “excessive speeds” on the short, dead-end street. Police have received numerous complaints about the issue. The informatio­n is being forwarded to the city prosecutor.

6:03 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on McNair Street for a complaint of harassment.

8:43 p.m. Police received a report of neglected dogs at a residence on Patton Street. The dogs were found to be malnourish­ed, without food or water and in “squalid conditions. ”The dogs were taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic. Police issued two citations for cruelty to animals to Nicole Gleason, 38, Pea Ridge.

Tuesday, Aug. 5

9:32 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Halleck Lane for a theft report involving pain patches which complainan­t said that the suspect allegedly said could be sold on the “black market” for $50.

12:44 p.m. Police received a report of a reckless driver on Arkansas Highway 72 near Dodd Road. Police observed the vehicle weave and drive off the roadway and cross into the oncoming lane of traffic. During the traffic stop and ensuing investigat­ion, police did not find evidence of alcohol or drugs. Ricky Lee Vaughn, 55, was cited for careless driving.

3:49 p.m. Police were dispatched to a business parking lot on Slack Street for an animal welfare concern involving a dog left in a parked ve- hicle. Although the windows were open slightly, the dog was panting “constantly. ”The owner was contacted and he said he had checked on the dog regularly and had water provided for it.

4:15 p.m. Police took a report of fraudulent use of a credit card from a business in town. The charges were for online purchases.

Wednesday, Aug. 6

9 a.m. While responding to an agency assist request from the Benton County Sheriff ’s Office involving what sounded like a gunshot coming from the area of Bloxham Road and East Harris Street in the county, police saw a man known to be wanted on warrants from Pea Ridge. After responding to the agency assist, police returned to find the man. As a result of the investigat­ion, police arrested Kenneth M. Lewis, 22, Pea Ridge, on a warrant from Pea Ridge and a warrant from Rogers and Jennifer Schriner, 20, Pea Ridge, for three counts of possession of drug parapherna­lia, possession of a controlled substance and hindering apprehensi­on.

11:45 a.m. A resident of Smith Street reported a telephone was lost somewhere on East Pickens Road.

Friday, Aug. 8

11:20 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Frost Street for a report of sexual assault that may have occured last year in another town. A 5-year-old girl told her guardians that an adult male had sexually abused her. All informatio­n was forwarded to Springdale Police and a Hotline report was filed.

Saturday, Aug. 9

1:32 a.m. As the result of a traffic stop, police arrested Dustin Lawade Hughes, 24, Pea Ridge, for DWI.

10:51 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Blair Circle for a physical disturbanc­e with possible weapons involved. As a result of the investigat­ion, police arrested a 17-year-old male for third-degree domestic battery. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

3:48 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Greenwood Cove for an attempted suicide call. Police found a female who had overdosed on sleeping pills. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Sunday, Aug. 10

4:19 p.m. Police were dispatched to a business on Slack Street for a parking lot accident involving vehicles driven by David D. Carlson, 63, Bentonvill­e, and Andrea E. McChristia­n, 28, Rogers.

Arrests

• Blake W. Stines, 41, of 17010 Dennis Mitchell Road in Garfield was arrested Friday in connection with aggravated assault, battery in the third degree, domestic battering in the third degree and terroristi­c threatenin­g in the first degree. He was being held in the Benton County Jail on Saturday with no bond set.

• Justin Richmond, 25, of 1150 Richards St. in Pea Ridge was arrested Friday in connection with parole violation. He was being held Saturday in the
