Rita Crow

Rita Faye Crow, 79, of Rogers, died Sept. 9, 2014, in Rogers. She was born Feb. 21, 1935, in Bokchito, Okla., to Paul and Cleo Bell Ogden. She was a caregiver. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Thomas Crow of the home; children, Arthur Thomas Crow Jr. of Calera, Okla., Rita Ann Taylor and Holder P. Crow, both of Garfield, Marsha Jane Root of Pineville, Mo., and Alonzo R. Crow of Bella Vista; brother, C.C. Ogden; sisters, Pauline Dunsmore, Celesta Hall, Glenda Anderson and Jettie Erwin; 15 grandchild­ren; and several great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation was 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers.

Funeral services were at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers.

Private interment will be in Twelve Corners Cemetery.

Serena Jean Duncan

Serena Jean Duncan, 37, of Rogers, Ark., died on Sept. 14, 2014, in Rogers. She was born June 25, 1977, in Rogers, Ark., to Roland David and Cathey Samples Duncan.

She was of the Baptist faith and attended Cross Church in Rogers. She had worked as a veterinari­an assistant for Dr. Mark Davis and had also worked at Walmart. Serena enjoyed singing, playing music, especially the saxophone, card games with her grandmothe­r, playing with her children and riding bikes. She graduated from Springdale High School.

She was preceded by her father, Roland Duncan in June 2014.

Survivors include one daughter, Kennedy Duncan, and one son, Cruz Duncan, both of the home; her mother Cathey Russell and her husband, Jack, of Rogers; one brother, Ron Swift and his wife, Lori, of Pea Ridge; one stepbrothe­r, Greg Russell of Lawrence, Kan.; her paternal grandmothe­r, Serena Hulsey of Bentonvill­e; her aunts, Laura Hulsey of Bellevue, Neb., and Pam Raines and her husband, Rick, of Garfield; her uncles, Roy Samples and his wife, Pam, of Springdale, and Darrel Duncan and his wife, Avis, of Rogers; other aunts and uncles include, Velta and Barry, Dianna and Ivan, Joyce and Johnny, Cheryl and Boyd, Steve and Tim.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 16, 2014, at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Elm Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.

Tod Kenneth Fabrizio

Tod Kenneth Fabrizio, 51, of Garfield died Sept. 11, 2014, at home. He was born July 29, 1963, in Arizona.

He had a free spirited soul and a heart full of gold.

Survivors include three sons, Jason (Lisa), Anthony (Kayla) and Isaac; two daughters, Kristina and Kameryn; his former spouses, Liz and Lisa; and many other family and friends.

Gloria Lee Newberry

Gloria Lee Newberry, 62, of Little Flock and for the last four years at Springdale Health and Rehab in Springdale, died on Sept. 9, 2014, after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Paris, Ark., on March 19, 1952, to Boyd Lynn and Tracy Marie (Everett) Nunnelee.

She was a retired hair dresser working for more than 32 years in this field serving her family and customers. She loved her family and had great pleasure with her horses.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and her favorite 30-year-old horse, Candy, who died two months ago.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Newberry of Little Flock; two sons, Jamie Newberry and fi- ancee, Le-Ann Sprenkle, and children of Pleasant Hill, Mo., Chris Newberry of Palatine, Ill.; one granddaugh­ter, Ashlynn Burkett and husband, Michael, of Bentonvill­e; one great-grandson and two stepgreat-grandchild­ren; sister, Tracy Butler and husband, Al, of Pea Ridge; brother, Mark Nunnelee of Pea Ridge; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at the chapel of Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers.

Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lodge of Fellowship Bible Church, with Phil Newberry and Mark Schatzman officiatin­g. Burial was private. Pallbearer­s were Jamie Newberry, Chris Newberry, Al Butler, Allen Newberry, Michael Burkett and Mike Rhodes.

Donald C. Wheeless

Donald C. Wheeless, 88, of Bentonvill­e, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Bentonvill­e. He was born March 19, 1926, at Hopkinton, Iowa, to Frank Wheeless and Minnie Prideg Wheeless.

He grew up in the small community of Hopkinton, graduated from high school and then joined the U.S. Navy. He saw action on the USS Knight and the Fitch, destroyers turned mine sweepers.

After graduating from college with a business degree, he met Marjorie Engel and they were married in 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was recalled into the Navy three months after he married and served two years as a radioman on the Island of Guam.

He was junior high principal for six years, and later was claims superinten­dent for State Farm Ins. Co. After retirement he began working on antique clocks as a hobby, which later turned into a small business. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Pea Ridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dale, and a sister, Mary.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Marjorie; two daughters, Jody Louise Wheeless of Houston, Texas, and Jill Diane Henry and husband Mark of Amana, Iowa; two sons, Jay Donald Wheeless and wife Cherie of Pea Ridge, and James Marion Wheeless and wife Jennifer of Bentonvill­e; four grandchild­ren, Seth, Sadie, Jay M. and Emily; and two great-grandchild­ren, Jackson and Isla.

A visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday before the service.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at the Church of the Nazarene in Pea Ridge with pastor Aaron Matthews officiatin­g.

Burial followed at Pea Ridge Cemetery with pastor Perry Morgan officiatin­g.

Pall bearers were Jay Wheeless, Jim Wheeless, Jay M. Wheeless, Seth Henry, Larry Marlow, and Bill Woods.

Memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 206, Pea Ridge, AR 72751; or New Salem Baptist Church, P.O. Box 293, Seligman, Mo., 65745.
