Boundless Grace Baptist, Little Flock

There are two worship services at Boundless Grace Baptist Church — at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.; Sunday school is at 10:05 a.m.

Boundless Grace runs a van to take children to Awana Clubs and youth services on Wednesday nights. If interested, call 479-986-8711. Awana Clubs is for ages kindergart­en through sixth grade and meets from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

First Baptist Church, Pea Ridge

Join us at Pea Ridge First Baptist Church for Easter Sunday Worship Service at 9:30 a.m., followed by an Easter Egg hunt at 11 a.m. for infants through sixth-grade children, followed by an Easter Potluck Luncheon after the Egg Hunt.

Mothers Day Out enrollment for fall 2014 is open. Call the church at 451-8192 to register. Mothers Day Out has an opening for a teaching position.

Team Kid meets on Wednesdays.

The Lord’s Supper service is set for March 29.

An Easter egg hunt is scheduled for April 4.

Northeast Benton County’s largest Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at the Garfield Park and NEBCO Community Building with the MedEvac Helicopter landing prior to that. Kids will be divided up by age groups, along with, pictures with the Easter Bunny, magician, music, free food and door prizes provided by local businesses.

Easter Sunrise Service (outdoors), is set for 7 a.m. April 5. Breakfast served following.

Easter Morning Worship Service is at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5, with 9:15 a.m. Sunday School.

New Prospect Baptist Church

Join us Easter Sunday, April 5, when we will be having a sunrise service starting at 6:45 a.m. Breakfast will be after sunrise service and regular services will be 10 a.m. Sunday School and 11 a.m. worship. There will be no evening services.

Brightwate­r United Methodist, Garfield

Brightwate­r United Methodist Church hosts a senior citizen lunch at 11:30 a.m. every Thursday.

Dinners are $3 and they are prepared at the Bentonvill­e Senior Center and taken to the church located at 14108 E. U.S. Hwy. 62, between Garfield and Avoca. Reservatio­ns are needed; call 479-359-3772 no later than Wednesday.

40 Years Ago Wednesday, March 26, 1975 Pea Ridge Graphic-Scene

Officials of Continenta­l Telephone Company of Arkansas have announced plans for a new central office in Pea Ridge. Plans call for a new building to be built on a site south of the present building. New switching equipment is scheduled to be placed in service in June 1976.

A fire at the Ray Burkett home on Twelve Corners Road was first reported shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday by a passerby who notified a neighbor when he failed to find the Burkett family at home. Pea Ridge firemen fought the stubborn blaze hard. Finally the fire was thought to be out. At 9 a.m. Sunday, though, firemen were again summoned to the house. That time, they stayed with it until they thought it was “stone out,” but at 4 p.m. that afternoon the fire again caught hold, and that time the structure was levelled by the blaze.
