Thursday, April 16
3:38 p.m. A resident of Weston Street reported a stray dog had been in his yard for a day. Police picked up the female, brindle colored terrier mix and took it to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.
4:33 p.m. Police were dispatched to Hayden Road for an animal lying in the road after being hit by a vehicle. The dog was taken to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic; it later died. The owner contacted police. He retrieved the body.
6:46 p.m. Wrote a warning for trespassing to Emily Copp, 22, Pea Ridge, after an investigation into a harassment report from residents of North Davis Street.
Friday, April 17
2:02 p.m. Police were notified of a possible custody exchange for a 17-year-old girl to a relative who had reportedly previously sexually molested the girl. As a result of the investigation, police and the probation officer said the girl could stay in her current home.
3:59 p.m. Police were dispatched to the area of Blair Circle for a suspicious circumstance involving a male sitting on the side of the road with boxes. The man said he was doing vacuum cleaner demonstrations for his boss. As a result of the investigation, Chastity Obersteadt, 30, Fayetteville, was cited for violation of the city door-to-door sales ordinance.
8:57 p.m. Police received a report of theft from a resident of Wade Lane. The reporting party said $500 cash was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at Dollar General Store. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the information was not accurate. It was $120 that was stolen and may have been from several different locations.
Sunday, April 19
3:40 a.m. Police assisted Little Flock Police with a disturbance on Spring Cliff Loop.
9 a.m. Police picked up a brindle female boxer caught by a resident on Todd Circle. It was taken to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. The dog’s owner, Charles Fletcher, 35, Pea Ridge, claimed the dog. He was cited for dog at large and no city tags.
Monday, April 20
7:13 a.m. Police conducted a no knock narcotics search warrant on a residence on West Harris Street. Two juveniles — a 16-year-old female and a 17-year-old male — were arrested for two felonies each: possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a level VI drug with intent to distribute. A sizable amount of narcotics were recovered as well as $830. (The juveniles were ultimately cited and released to their parent at the request of the Juvenile Detention Center.)
9:51 a.m. Police were dispatched to a business on North Curtis Avenue for a suspicious circumstance involving a baggie of a white crystal substance found in the store. The substance was determined to be methamphetamine.
