Scott E. Starner, 37, of Little Flock, Ark., died June 8, 2015. He was born Dec. 9, 1977, to Tim and Candi Starner in Fresno, Calif.; he was a longtime resident of northwest Arkansas since 1979.

He graduated from Rogers High School in 1996. He then attended the University of Arkansas where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. After the U of A, he attended MU in Columbia, Mo., where he worked part time for a local winery. He later went on to flight school where he obtained his pilot’s license. He spent the last two years working at Starner Tax Group as a tax preparer studying to take his Enrolled Agent Exam.

Scott loved spending time on the lake with his friends and family, skiing and listening to beach music like Jimmy Buffett. He also enjoyed taking his motorcycle on scenic rides through the countrysid­e. He loved his two dogs, Aspen and Jackson, which were inseparabl­e. He had a huge heart and always wanted the best for the ones he cared about.

Survivors include his father and mother, Tim and Candi Starner; two brothers, Robby and Clayton Starner; sister-in-law Hailey Starner; two nephews, Josh and Trey; and niece, Emily.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Twelve Corners Baptist Church led by Brother Rick Booyer in Garfield.

Scott would have wanted any condolence­s for his family to be donated to Arkansas Children’s Hospital or the Special Olympics Foundation in memory of his late brothers, Steven and Michael Starner.

May he find peace with the Lord alongside Steven and Michael.
