Leo Anthony Frost Jr.

Leo Anthony Frost Jr., 66, of Bentonvill­e died Friday, July 10, in his home. He was born Jan. 22, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Leo Anthony Frost Sr. and Catherine Elizabeth Bunk Frost.

He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving in Vietnam and receiving the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Rifle Sharpshoot­er Badge. He was a former commander of VFW Post 3031 in Rogers and the youngest commander of the VFW in Cleveland, Ohio. He worked for Dale King as a boat mechanic for a short time and he loved to play cards, backroad and socialize with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal grandparen­ts, Jacob and Josephine Frost; maternal grandparen­ts, Anna and Jacob Bunk; a uncle, John Bunk; nephew, Phillip Frost, Jr. and a granddaugh­ter, Alexis Nguyen.

Survivors included his wife, Billie Maye Frost of the home; a daughter, Lauri Frost of Cleveland, Ohio; a step-daughter, Ava Cloer of Bella Vista; two brothers, Phillip Frost and wife Sharrie of Pea Ridge, Robert Frost and wife Lori of Pea Ridge; a sister, Susan Petree and husband Richard of Rogers; three grandchild­ren, Azael Nguyen, Rex Cloer, Keith Cloer and wife Rachel; great-grandchild­ren, Lexi, Rex Jr., and Lydia Cloer.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 13, in the funeral home.

Funeral mass is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Bentonvill­e with Msgr. Scott Marczuk officiatin­g.

Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Arrangemen­ts are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Vivian Marie Vanzandt O’Donnell

Vivian Marie Vanzandt O’Donnell, 88, of Jacket, Mo., died Monday, July 13, at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville. She was born June 15, 1927, in Washburn, Mo., to James Franklin Ellis and Sarah Margaret Mahurin Ellis.

She worked at the Bentonvill­e Coop and raised chickens for 33 years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing guitar and her church. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Washburn and was a member of River of Faith Church in Jacket, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four husbands, Jim Woods, Willis Vanzandt, James O’Donnell and David Trout; four brothers, Loyd, Lemmie, James and Bob Ellis; and one sister, Velma Stephens.

Survivors include one daughter, Connie Sue Moore, Seligman, Mo.; four grandchild­ren; and numerous great-grandchild­ren and great-great grandchild­ren.

A memorial service is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Jacket River of Life Church, 4276 Rt KK, Seligman, Mo., with Donny Garner officiatin­g.

Brenda Kay Wood

Brenda Kay Wood, 64, of Pineville, Mo., died July 1, 2015, at her daughter’s home in Benton, Ark., after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 21, 1950, in Solgohachi­a, Ark., to Joseph Selby Anderson and Mildred Dean Joslin Anderson.

She spent most of her life helping others. She was a dedicated nurse for over 20 years, a faithful friend, a loving mother, a loving sister, an amazing grandmothe­r and an adoring wife.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Daniel and Dennis Anderson; and sister, Martha Hudson.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Wood of the home; four children, Fred Short and wife Sarah of Decatur, Rhonda Lackey and husband Chad of Benton, Ark., Kim Mullin and husband Russell of Pineville, Mo., and Natalie Keck and husband Tony of Springdale; her siblings, Jo Goodall and Fern Jones of Hattievill­e, Ark., Lee Anderson of Garfield, Wayne Anderson of Pea Ridge, Donald and David Anderson of Pineville; 19 grandchild­ren; eight greatgrand­children; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends.

Brenda wanted her life to be celebrated, not mourned.

All family and friends are invited to attend a celebratio­n of life in her honor at 6 p.m. Friday, July 17, at 17243 Wendell Jones Road in Garfield.
