Leta Faye ( Wood) Dean
Leta Faye (Wood) Dean, 85, of Pea Ridge died Sept. 8, 2015, at Ashley Health and Rehab in Rogers. She was born April 9, 1930, in Pea Ridge to Stephen Granvil Wood and Cora Branham Wood.
She was a lifelong resident of Pea Ridge and married Harold Kay Dean on March 1, 1947. She worked for years at the Pea Ridge Canning Company and retired from Cobb-Ventris. She lived a simple life with many friends and a crazy, large family, she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Dean in 1993; five brothers; three sisters; and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Dean and wife Marcia of Springdale and Kevin Dean and wife Sharron of Anderson, Mo.; four daughters, Patty Curtis and husband Rex of Rogers, Shirley Palmer of Pineville, Mo., Peggy Dotson of Alma, Ark., and Anita Garrison and husband Mike of Bella Vista; a sister, Barbara Ginn and husband John of Centerton, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchil- dren; and nine great-greatgrandchildren.
Visitation was from 1-3 p.m Friday at Sisco Funeral Home before the service
Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Family and friends were invited to the Pea Ridge Community Room after the service for fellowship. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pea Ridge High School Scholarship Fund (Nursing Program), 132 N. Curtis Ave., Pea Ridge AR 72751, attn: Kim Brown.
