Donald David Proper, 36, of Rogers died Sept. 22, 2015, at his home. He was born Feb. 18, 1979, in Rogers.

He graduated from Rogers High School, was a licensed AC technician and was a diesel mechanic for Walmart. Proper competed in numerous Mechanic Championsh­ips at local, state, and national competitio­ns demonstrat­ing his exceptiona­l skills and passion for excellence. He was a strong competitor raising the bar for those who met him on the competitio­n floor winning multiple events. In addition Don participat­ed in training events and videos helping other techs be the best they can be. He was passionate about exceeding expectatio­ns and helping others along the way.

He was on the Avoca Volunteer Fire Department, was a pyro technician and was active in the Ventris Trail’s End Fireworks display. He loved to fish and was an eighth generation descendant of the sons of the American Revolution.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Proper; and paternal grandparen­ts, Charles and Lillian Proper.

Survivors include his grandmothe­r, Janet Simrell and husband Ron of Garfield.

A memorial service was at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at the First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with the Rev. Bryan Timmons officiatin­g.

Arrangemen­ts were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
