Brightwate­r United Methodist Church

Senior Moment dinner is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.

Trunk or Treat is slated from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the church.

Mountain Bible Church, Mountain, Mo.

A hayride and wiener roast are scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28.

New Prospect Baptist Church, Garfield

A spaghetti supper and entertainm­ent by Christian illusionis­t Marty Hahne is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at First Baptist Church, Washburn, Mo. The event will benefit Linda Morgan and four students going to Pasco, Wash., for a mission trip in June 2016. Dinner is $7 for adults and $4 for children.

A Thanksgivi­ng dinner for the community is set for 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at New Prospect Baptist, Garfield.

The Southern Gospel group, Spoken 4 Quartet, from Branson, will perform Friday, Dec. 11, at New Prospect.

Pea Ridge Nazarene Church

New Livin’ Quartet will be in concert at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.

A Harvest Festival is planned from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. Free games, candy, a hayride, food and a trunk-or-treat are planned.

All children are invited to the Caravan program which meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays. A Christian scouting program, Caravan is designed for children from third to sixth grade. It uses an active, hands-on learning approach. Children work on badges in the areas of social, mental, physical and spiritual. A Pinewood Derby race will be held in the spring with the children designing their own cars. Call 479-228-2864 if transporta­tion is needed.

River of Faith Church Jacket, Mo.

The church has left the building. On Wednesday, Oct. 28, members of River of Faith Church will put their faith into action by canceling regular Wednesday evenings services to practice very purposeful acts of kindness throughout their communitie­s. Volunteers from the church and community with join together to make improvemen­ts on at least three homes during Faith in Action night. The homes are in the Pea Ridge, Garfield-Gateway and Seligman-Washburn, Mo., areas.

“We’re excited about how our congregati­on has rallied to support this special night of service to our community,” pastors Donny and Lora Garner said. “Hopefully neighbors who don’t even attend our church will see the value of what we’re doing and want to help. We invite everyone to join us.”

A Wild West Hayride is set for 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at River of Faith Church, with hot chocolate and candy offered.

A Fall Festival is slated for 3 p.m Sunday, Nov. 1, at the church with games, music, food, a hayride, archery competitio­ns (bring your bow), cupcake competitio­n and fun. For cupcake competitio­n, submit a fallthemed cupcake. Judging based on taste and appearance.
