Jerry Gene Arnold

Jerry Gene Arnold, 69, of Blackwell, Okla., died Oct. 13, at Via Christi Hospital St. Francis in Wichita, Kan. He was born Feb. 20, 1946, at home in Jacket, Mo., to Arthur Ray Arnold and Leeo Kathryn Pendergraft Arnold.

He was a long and short haul asphalt truck driver for many years, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, driving 18wheelers, working on cars, going to garage sales, and being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Cathy Arnold, his life-long companion, friend and love of 35 years Ruth Hudson; six brothers, Bob Arnold, J.D. Arnold, Russell Arnold, R.D. Arnold, Frank Arnold and George Hammers; one sister, Virginia Banks; and one great-granddaughter, Katrena.

Survivors include three sons, Jeffrey Arnold, David Hudson, and Jerry Hudson all of Blackwell, Okla.; two daughters, Charlena Arnold and Christina Hudson both of Blackwell; one brother, Gerold Hammers of Bentonville; four sisters, Valentina Day of Pea Ridge, Rayetta DeWitt of Bentonville, Shirley Barrett of Centerton and Mary Louder of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren, Kyla, Michael, Damon and Kadin all of Blackwell; 13 step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Service is set for 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Eastside Assembly of God Church with burial at Dent Cemetery.
