Ralph Wesley Bolain

Ralph Wesley Bolain, 87, Pea Ridge, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Bradford House Nursing & Rehab in Bentonvill­e. He was born Nov. 24, 1928, to John Wesley Bolain and Edna Jewel Petty Bolain in Bella Vista.

He served aboard the U.S. Army Hospital Ship “Comfort” in the Pacific Theater of Operations.

He served on the Benton County Sunshine School Board for 15 years. He served as Justice of the Peace for Mount Vernon Township, was elected Benton County Tax Assessor for two terms, was elected Benton County Judge for two terms, was a Benton County Deputy Sheriff for five and a half years, was a real estate broker and owned Bolain Realty in Pea Ridge for several years. He was president of the Pea Ridge Chamber of Commerce and Pea Ridge Masonic Lodge No. 119.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge where he taught Sunday School and was very active as long as his health permitted. He loved his Lord, his family, and his country.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Flarence Ella Buttry Bolain; a daughter, Sheryl Denise Bolain; three brothers, Jim, Herb and Ed Bolain; and one sister, Sharon Evans.

Survivors are a brother Donnie Bolain of Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Pansy Gastineau of Fayettevil­le; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at First Baptist Church, Pea Ridge.

Funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.

Arrangemen­ts were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

William Alton ‘Mr. Bill’ Crabtree

William Alton “Mr. Bill” Crabtree, 68, of Ben- tonville, Ark., died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 22, 1947, in Bentonvill­e to Sherman Delbert and Mary Elizabeth Pennington Crabtree.

Bill graduated from Bentonvill­e High School in 1966. He was an avid supporter of BHS sports and was well known as the Bentonvill­e Tiger’s No. 1 fan. He was a 1968 graduate of Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee, Okla. He worked for Wendt Sonis, TRW and retired from Walmart.

He was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in Bentonvill­e, where he was actively involved with the youth ministry.

Bill was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Bentonvill­e Jaycees, FCA and a lifetime member of the BHS Booster Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Virginia Mae Bush and Peggy Ruth Crabtree; and one brother, Joe David Crabtree.

Survivors include his brother, Jimmie Crabtree and wife, Sue, of Bentonvill­e; brother-in-law, Vonden Bush of Bentonvill­e; sister-in-law, June Crabtree of Rogers, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, in the sanctuary at First United Methodist Church in Bentonvill­e.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in Bentonvill­e with the Reverend Dr. Kurt Boggan officiatin­g.

Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery in Pea Ridge, Ark.

Memorials may be made to the Bentonvill­e Tiger Athletic Dept, 1702 SE “J” Street, Bentonvill­e, AR 72712 or to the FUMC Youth Group in care of First United Methodist Church, 201 NW 2nd St, Bentonvill­e, AR 72712.
