March will be busy
The sound of construction at the library is music to my ears knowing that in a few weeks we will have a wonderful multi-purpose room. This time three years ago, we were anticipating the move to our current location. We expect to be celebrating the completion of this last remodeling phase of the building in a few weeks. Please don’t let the sounds and dust of on-going construction keep you away from the library.
Driving around town I see flowers and trees in bloom. I surely hope that this wonderful weather we are experiencing is an early start to spring with no visit from old man winter later this month. Daylight Savings Time returns at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 13. Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour.
St. Patrick’s Day will be celebrated on the 17th; the first Day of Spring is March 20; Good Friday falls on the 25th and Easter on Sunday, March 27. It’s going to be a very busy month. For an extensive listing of events around the state visit www.arkansas.com/events.
Information on the Pea Ridge National Military Park Youth Conservation Corps work program is available at the library. Teenagers at least 15 but who will not turn 19 until after Aug. 5 are eligible to apply for this program.
There are no new books to report on this week. We hope to have a few ones next week. See you at the library!
