Cody W. Deans

Cody W. Deans, 25, of Seligman, Mo., died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. He was born Sept. 20, 1990, to Sid Deans and Sherri (Gautney) Roy in Rogers, Ark.

He graduated in 2009 from Agape High School in Stockton. Cody loved fishing, camping, golfing, bowling, shooting pool and tinkering — making things from anything he could get his hands on. He also enjoyed riding motorcycle­s and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his father Sid Deans and his wife Krista, of Rogers, Ark.; his mother Sherri Roy and her husband Douglas, of Stockton; one sister Sumer Roy, of Stockton; four step-sisters Jayden Roy and Alexis Roy , both of Stockton, Vanessa Van Riper and her husband Timothy, of West Fork, Ark., and Melanie Chandler, of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; paternal grandparen­ts John and Donna Deans, of Seligman; maternal grandparen­ts Darrell Gautney and his wife Ilene, of Seligman, and Vicki Cordova, of Oskaloosa, Iowa; paternal great-grandfathe­r, Bob Thompson and his wife Olieva, of Jenkins; paternal step-great-grandmothe­r Mary Slagle, of Springdale, Ark.; maternal great-grandparen­ts Doris Gautney, of Cassville, and Charles Quick, of Oskaloosa, Iowa; one nephew Jayce Naylor; one step niece Emma Van Riper; numerous aunt and uncles; several cousins; and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, in the First Baptist Church, Washburn, with pastors Glen Erwin and Frank Burton officiatin­g.

Burial will follow at the Seligman City Cemetery in Seligman.

Memorial contributi­ons may be made to Epilepsy Foundation and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.

Avis Gayle Partain

Avis Gayle Partain, 80, of Pea Ridge, died March 12, 2016, in Rogers. She was born March 27, 1935, in Garfield to Hobert and Eula Pearl (Byler) Robins.

She married Perry Partain on Nov. 5, 1953.

She enjoyed camping and fishing.

Mrs. Partain was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Perry Leon Partain; one sister, Eula Cockrell; one brother, Don Robins; and her husband.

Survivors include one son, Charles Partain, of Goodman, Mo.; five brothers, Gordon Robins of Garfield, Thurman Robins of Seneca, Mo., Richard Robins of Dyer, Larry Robins and Rex Robins, both of Alma; two sisters, Daphne Laughlin of Pea Ridge and JoAnn Adams of Colcord, Okla.; eight grandchild­ren; and 17 great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016, in First Baptist Church, Garfield, Ark.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, in First Baptist Church, Garfield.

Burial will follow at Ruddick Cemetery, Garfield.

Zannie Poe

Zannie Poe, 93, of Garfield, died March 14 in Concordia Nursing and Rehab, Bella Vista. He was born Jan. 25, 1923, in Garfield to Zannie Sam and Lillian M. (Ellington) Poe.

Zannie grew up and received his education at Garfield, graduating from Garfield High School. During World War II, he joined the United States Army Airforce where he was an air plane mechanic. After the war he moved back to Arkansas, married and started a family. Most of his life was spent in Garfield and he was a heavy equipment operator, building many of the major highways in the area. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He lived a full life and was loved by everybody.

On Jan. 7, 1949, in Garfield he was united in marriage to Florence Morrison, who survives.

Survivors include his wife; five children, Sheila Chandler and Earl of Centerton, Ark., Perry D. Poe and Linda of Georgia, Daniel N. Poe of Garfield, Phillip A. Poe and Jane of Bella Vista and Wendy J. Poe of Rogers; 13 grandchild­ren; and many great- and greatgreat grandchild­ren.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, in Ruddick Cemetery, Garfield under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Mo., with Mark Morrison officiatin­g.

Contributi­ons may be made to Boundless Grace Baptist Church, 222 Little Flock Dr., Little Flock, Ark. 72756 in memory of Zannie.

Jimmy Dale Williams,

Jimmy Dale Williams, 71, of, Garfield, died Tuesday, March 8, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born May 23, 1944, in Washburn, Mo., to Roland Earl Williams and Gladys E. Gardner Williams.

He married Mary Gladys McBride on June 4, 1969. He worked for Rose Trucking in Exeter, D&L Trucking in Cassville and numerous chicken plants in Rogers. He loved jigsaw puzzles, camping and hunting. He loved having his grandkids and great-grandkids at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bill, Johnny and Leon Williams.

Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Mary Williams of the home; a son, Rick Williams of Garfield; a daughter, Teresa Root and husband Gary of Garfield; two brothers, Carl Williams and wife Jan of Washburn, and Jack Williams and wife Alma of Cassville; four sisters, Shirley Dean of Washburn, Linda Pippin of Bella Vista, Julie Carter of Little Rock and Kathy Mills of Seattle, Wash.; a sisterin-law, Nancy Williams of Carthage, Mo.; 11 grandchild­ren; 12 great-grandchild­ren; and numerous nieces and nephews. There was no visitation. Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, in New Prospect Baptist Church in Garfield.

Burial was in Bayless Cemetery.

Arrangemen­ts were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
