Monday, May 2
3:17 p.m. Police were notifed of a stray dog near Dollar General. The dog had tags from a veterinarian but the phone number was no longer valid. the dog was taken to Pea Ridge Vet Clinic for safe keeping.
Tuesday, May 3
7:15 a.m. Police were notified of a dog found at Pea Ridge Intermediate School; it was taken to Pea Ridge Vet Clinic.
7:30 a.m. A resident of Brook Circle reported computer fraud involving theft of money from a bank account.
10:35 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on John W. Montgomery for a 50-year-old male not breathing. It was determined he was deceased.
2 p.m. A resident of Lynn Drive reported finding tools in her yard.
Wednesday, May 4
7:13 p.m. A resident of Hallack Lane reported the theft of his dog, a 4-month-old Great Pyrenees. The dog’s collar and chain were left behind.
Thursday, May 5
3:10 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on South Curtis Avenue for an attempted suicide. The suspect, a 19-year-old male, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
Friday, May 6
9:30 a.m. Police were notified about a possible theft from a classroom at Pea Ridge Middle School. A female student reported the theft of a ring. A 12-year-old female was cited for theft of property.
2:30 p.m. A resident of Zachary Street reported harassment from a former boyfriend. She was advised on the steps necessary for a protection order and about Laura’s Law Lethality Assessment. The male was contacted and advised to cease harassing communications.
Saturday, May 7
4:51 a.m. Police were advised of a motor-vehicle accident on Ark. Hwy. 94 near Sugar Creek Road. The driver, a 17-year- old male, told police he briefly fell asleep causing him to drift off the road. He was cited for careless and prohibited driving.
10:40 a.m. A resident of Earl Lane took a brown and white mixed-breed dog to the Police Department saying it showed up at his house. The dog did have a microchip. It was placed in the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic.
1:30 p.m. A resident of St. Clair Street reported a stray dog; it was picked up and placed in the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic.
8:30 p.m. A resident of St. Clair Street reported someone apparently attempted to enter the back yard of her residence between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. as she found the rear fence gate open. The latch was broken and the resident’s dog was missing. It was determined the dog was one picked up earlier by police.
