Joyce Lee Cooper

Joyce Lee Cooper, 79, of Pineville, Mo., died Monday, July 25, at Freeman Hospital in Neosho. She was born June 15, 1937, in Rocky Comfort, Mo., to George Lee Horton and Dorothy Jane Clark Horton.

She worked on her dairy farm and enjoyed sewing and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Hurchell and George Horton; and three sisters, Myrtle and Ruby Akehurst, Ruby Hoyt.

Survivors are her husband, Marion Lee Cooper of the home; a son, Jack Cooper of Pineville, Mo.; a daughter, Marilyn Gray and husband Danny of Pineville, Mo.; a brother, Buster Horton and wife Zelda of Pea Ridge, Ark.; a sister, Wilma Thomp- son and husband Jerry of Rocky Comfort, Mo.; and two grandsons, Rex Gray and wife Julianne of Provo, Utah, and Mark Gray and fiancé Jamie Keathley of Springfiel­d, Mo.

Graveside service is set for 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Roller Cemetery in Missouri with pastor Al Fowler officiatin­g.

Arrangemen­ts were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

James Rodney Wayne Hankins

James Rodney Wayne Hankins, 46, of Bentonvill­e, died Friday, July 22, at his home. He was born June 26, 1971, in Siloam Springs to James Harmon Hankins and Barbara Rutherford Hankins.

He worked in constructi­on and loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and canoeing.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Lynn Wright.

Survivors are his wife Sherry Darlene Hankins of Wagoner, Okla.; his father, James Hankins of Decatur; a son, Randall Hankins of Wagoner, Okla.; four brothers, Jimmy Rutherford, Terry, Randy and Joey Hankins; and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service is set for 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Burnis Elnora Hayles

Burnis Elnora Hayles, 92, of Springdale, Ark., died Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at the Maples at Har-Bar Meadows. She was born on March 23, 1924, in Wetumka, Okla., to William and Virgie (Smith) Denton.

She was a loving mother and proud of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery B. Hayles; two brothers, Johnny Denton and Mack Denton; and two sisters, Wanda Bowling and Maxine Ritter.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Cothren and husband Van of Springdale, Ark., Brenda Jaro and husband Larry of Tontitown, Ark., and William Hayles of Springdale; four grandchild­ren, Kim Moore and husband Mike, Nicole Shockley and husband Eddie, Joey Jaro and wife Christy and Steven Jaro and wife Loretta; 14 greatgrand­children; one brother, Eddie Denton of Pea Ridge, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was 6-7 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016, in the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.

Funeral service was 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, with pastor Dwain Houston officiatin­g. Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
