Bob King

Bobby Joe King, 79, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died Oct. 8, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. He was born Oct. 5, 1937, in Bentonvill­e, Ark., to Joe Melvin King and Lois Lorene Ober King.

He was an over-the-road truck driver for Willis-Shaw and Walmart. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Natural State Model “A” Club. He enjoyed traveling, going cross country on his motorcycle and spending time with his family.

He was a member of Twelve Corners Baptist Church in Garfield, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert King; and one infant brother.

Survivors are his wife Elizabeth King, whom he married April 8, 1965; a son, John King and wife Robbie of Pea Ridge; a daughter, Melissa Brown of Dawsonvill­e, Ga.; a brother, Larry King, and wife Jolene of Rogers; two sisters, Mary Ash and husband John of Mulvane, Kan., and Carolyn Simpson of Siloam Springs, Ark.; seven grandchild­ren; and eight great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A memorial service is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, in Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge with Gene Roberts officiatin­g.

Norma Jean Norcia

Norma Jean Norcia, 86, originally of Newark, N.J., died peacefully at home on Sept. 15, 2016, in Garfield, Ark. She was born March 5, 1930, to Antonino Norcia of San Giuseppe, Sicily, and Ethel Virginia Eastwood of Newark.

She lived a joyous 86 years. She graduated from the Newark School of Fine Arts High in 1947 where she won numerous awards for fashion illustrati­on and a scholarshi­p to the Traphagen School of Fashion in New York City. She was a lifelong artist, and worked in many different mediums. She won countless accolades throughout her career and was instrument­al in starting and teaching at the Grassroots Art Studio in Stroudsbur­g, Penn.

She was a tenacious woman with a quick wit and charmed all those who were lucky enough to have known her. Her family fondly remembers time together swimming, sleigh riding and ice skating as well as attending Broadway shows and traveling to Disney World. Her love of reading and appreciati­on of music and art have been inherited by her children and grandchild­ren. She will lovingly be remembered as having an unparallel­ed zest for life and will be truly missed.

She was a loving and proud matriarch of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rosalie Homer of Boynton Beach, Fla.

Survivors include her three children, Joe Stenson of Canadensis, Penn., Jim Stenson and his wife Judy of Saylorsbur­g, Penn., and Jeanie Stenson of Garfield; five grandchild­ren, Karissa Batt (Trevor), Katrina Stenson, Joseph J. Stenson, Erik Stenson and Joseph D. Stenson; one great-granddaugh­ter, Evangeline Batt; a brother, Anthony Edwin Norcia of Manchester, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangemen­ts were by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home and Crematory.
