Donald Lee Miller

Donald Lee Miller, 81, of Pea Ridge, died Oct. 7 at Circle of Life hospice in Springdale. He was born May 21, 1935 in Johnstown, Penn., to Wesley William Miller and Dorothy Eliza Hanner Miller.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a Chaplain for the Veterans Administra­tion Hospital conducting 191 funeral services for the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He loved fishing, playing cards, bingo, being with his family and was an automotive enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Joan Miller; three sons, Donnie and Danny Miller and John Grant; two sisters, Barbara Smith, Darlene Flores; and four brother-in-laws, Raymond Sorensen, Duane Smith, Brian Kerr and James Young.

Survivors are three daughters, Donna Ludlow (Steve) of Rogers, Mary Grant-Young (Chuck) of Simi Valley, Calif., and Barbara Van Laar (Mike) of Simi Valley, Calif.; a brother, Walter Miller of Rogers; two sisters, Diane Young of Pea Ridge and Sharon Kerr of Rogers; four grandchild­ren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are set for 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at Bentonvill­e City Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Ford officiatin­g.

There is no visitation scheduled.

Leola Kathleen Trammell

Leola Kathleen Trammell, 75, died Oct. 16, 2016, in Bentonvill­e, Ark. She was born July 8, 1941, in St. Joe, Ark., to Samuel Newton and Nettie Ann Patterson Begley.

Leola was a home health provider and enjoyed gardening, sewing and reading.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Trammell; son Mike Trammell; great grandson Brayden Micheal Trammell; two brothers Douglas and Samuel Begley; and three sisters Demoie Willis, Lenora Chappell and Lenona Sechrest.

Survivors include her three children Scott Trammell of Springdale, Jeff Trammell of Pea Ridge and Susan Dionne Leep of Rogers; her siblings Utah Begley, Leota Sechrest and Leann McCalliste­r; 10 grandchild­ren; and 11 greatgrand­children.

Visitation was 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Benton County Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers.

Interment will follow in the Bentonvill­e Cemetery, Bentonvill­e, Ark.

Mary Margaret Webb

Mary Margaret Webb, 75, of Pea Ridge, died Sunday, Oct. 16, at her home. She was born July 2, 1941, in Van Buren, Ark., to Leo Clarence Russell and Helen Vera Wilson Russell.

She was licensed as a lab and x-ray technician through the University of Oklahoma and was employed at Bates Hospital, Springdale Medical Center, Pea Ridge Medical Clinic and The Garrett-Goss Clinic. At the Pea Ridge Medical Clinic she assisted Dr. Homer Russell, who was the first doctor for the City of Pea Ridge, get the clinic started and running smoothly.

She was instrument­al in starting the Gifted and Talented program for the students of the Pea Ridge School system. She was the founder of Granny’s Quilts of Love of Pea Ridge, who as of this date, have made and donated 23,000 quilts for the children at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Sunshine School and She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and cherished the time she shared with her husband, kids, and grandkids. She spent countless hours cooking meals for her family and sitting on the bleachers watching her kids, and grandkids play basketball, baseball, football and softball.

She was a member of Twelve Corners Baptist Church where she was the Vacation Bible School director and Sunday School teacher for many years when her children were young.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Cassie Webb; and two sisters Barbara Loyd and Sandra Dawson.

Survivors are her husband, Kent Webb of the home; one daughter, Lisa Crowder and husband Todd of Bentonvill­e; and Lindsey, Reece and Dawson Crowder, all of Bentonvill­e; her friend and caregiver, Rhonda Day; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Granny’s Quilts of Love, 1220 S. Curtis Ave., Pea Ridge, AR. 72751.

Visitation is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, one hour before the service begins.

Funeral is set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.

Judith Elizabeth Cannon

Judith Elizabeth Cannon, 65, of Garfield, died Thursday, Oct. 13, at her home. She was born March 20, 1951, at Dade City, Fla., to Raymond J. Turner and Lucille Elizabeth Downs Turner.

She was owner, operator and hair dresser at “Judy’s Country Junction” in Powell, Mo., before retiring after 20 years. She was a Baptist.

She enjoyed yard sales, flea markets, fishing, boating, being outdoors, spending time with her grandchild­ren and her companion Al.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jessie Cannon; and one daughter Stacey Cannon.

Survivors are her longtime companion, Al Donze of the home; one son, Corey Cannon of Lost Bridge Village; two brothers, Tommy Turner of Duette, Fla., and John Raymond Turner III of Floral City, Fla,; and two grandchild­ren, Libby Ritchie and Austin Cannon.

Visitation is 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at New Prospect Baptist Church.

Service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at New Prospect Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church.
