Community room almost ready to rent
Adlai E. Stevenson (1900-1965) Former governor of Illinois, American diplomat
Greetings local clan of library fanatics! Let’s just start this off by saying how tremendously awesome this week has been due to the fact that our new gutters are working well, and because we have finally decided to proceed with moving forward on fixing the inside of the building. Wesley Henson with city maintenance finished the front floors last Friday and we are truly grateful for his hard work; he is pretty entertaining as well. Next, the drywall personnel and Webb Floors will finish us off. We are hugely excited to announce that our multipurpose room will be ready to rent out for gatherings the first week of November.
When you stop by to check out the finish work, as we know you loyal followers will, you will notice the spectacular display of art work by our sweet friends at Autumn’s Place. There are definitely some talented people in our community!
On Tuesdays at 2 p.m. we will be holding an Adult Coloring and Coffee gathering. The pages, color pencils and coffee and tea will be provided. Come join us for what will be a most relaxing time.
On Halloween don’t forget to come get your pictures taken in your costume at the library from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a special spooky story time and craft or at 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per family, or free to Friends of the Pea Ridge Community Library members. You will find information on how to become a member at the event, or any time before that at the library.
There will also be a board meeting on 1 p.m. Oct. 20. Anyone is welcome to our meetings, we would love to have you!
