Josephine Mae Allen
Josephine Mae Allen, 82, of Rogers, Ark., died Oct. 18, 2016, in Bentonville, Ark. She was born on Aug. 14, 1934, in Rogers to Joseph William and Rose Ellen (Brown) Swadley.
She was loved by her family and her Word of Life Fellowship family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Allen; parents; son, Virgil King; and 11 siblings.
Survivors are her sister, Frances Crites of Garfield, Ark.; grandchildren, Steve and Brian King and Valerie Coonfield; eight greatgrandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, in Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bentonville.
Burial followed at Tucks Chapel Cemetery.

Judith Elizabeth Cannon
Judith Elizabeth Cannon, 65, of Garfield, Ark., died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at her home. She was born March 20, 1951, at Dade City, Fla., to Raymond J. Turner and Lucille Elizabeth Downs Turner.
She was owner, operator and hair dresser at “Judy’s Country Junction” in Powell, Mo., before retiring after 20 years. She enjoyed yard sales, flea markets, fishing, boating, being outdoors, spending time with her grandchildren and her companion Al. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Cannon; and one daughter, Stacey Cannon.
Survivors are her longtime companion, Al Donze of the home; one son, Corey Cannon of Lost Bridge Village; two brothers, Tommy Turner of Duette, Fla., and John Raymond Turner III of Floral City, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Libby Ritchie and Austin Cannon.
Visitation was at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Service was 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at New Prospect Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church.

Walter Lee Cotton
Walter Lee Cotton, 89, of Seligman, Mo., died Oct. 22, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Cassville, Mo. He was born April 12, 1927, in Rogers, Ark., to John L. Cotton and Pearl Graham Cotton.
He was a World War II Army veteran and served in the military police. He was awarded the Victory medal.
He was a retired truck driver and worked for Tyson Foods Maintenance Dept. in Rogers. He loved to fish and hunt and play cards with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his second wife, Betty Cotton; a daughter, Becky Warner; a brother, Tom Cotton; a sister, Mae Stover; two grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Betty Phillips.
Survivors are three sons, Johnny Cotton (Betty) of Garfield, Doug Cotton (Steve) of Bella Vista, Ark., and Roy Cotton (Jamie) of Pea Ridge, Ark.; four daughters, Mary Skelton (Harold), Peggy Parker (Leonard), Connie Hendrix (Danny), all of Seligman, and Tammy Cotton of Renton, Wash.; a step-son, Danny Beene (Rebecca) of Arkadelphia, Ark.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Sisco Funeral Home, Pea Ridge.
Graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Pratt Cemetery in Garfield with Pastor Stanley Nichols officiating.
Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Juanita Gilliam
Juanita Gilliam, 84, of Anderson, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at McDonald County Living Center. She was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Benton County, Ark., to Benjamin Garland Taylor and Snoe Anderson Taylor.
She was a homemaker and was a bus driver for the Rogers School District for three years. She attended First Baptist Church in Anderson, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Gilliam; a daughter, Nita Julian; and two brothers, E.J. and Eugene Taylor.
Survivors are a nephew, Ross Pitts of Gentry, Ark.; two grandsons, Donnie and Darrin Schmidt; and a sister, Vivian Pitts of Garfield, Ark.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at First Baptist Church in Garfield.
Burial was in Ruddick Cemetery.
Arrangements were with Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

James Oland Hatfield
James Oland Hatfield, 61, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died Oct. 17, 2016, at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Aug. 10, 1955, in Whittier, Calif., to John Renfroe and Vernadean Caldwell Renfroe.
He served in the Air Force as a weapons mechanic from 1972-1975. He loved riding motorcycles and camping.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis Hatfield and Mark Renfroe.
Survivors are his parents, John and Dean Renfroe of Pea Ridge; a son, Ryan Hatfield (Bri) of Kissimmee, Fla.; two daughters, Jamie Ragland (Brent) of Pryor, Okla., Laura Perrin (Boedy) of Centerton, Ark.; a brother, David Hatfield (Patty) of Springdale, Ark.; three sisters, Cynthia Leonard (Marty) of Rogers, Ark., Annette Jacobs of Centerton and Shanna (Gary) Mundt of Blue Springs, Texas; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service with full military honors is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at Pea Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Booth officiating. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Anna Louise Mahurin
Anna Louise Mahurin, 74, of Garfield, died Oct. 22, 2016, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was born April 18, 1941, in Seligman, Mo., to Virgle Maloy King and Edna Louise Arnold King.
She was a resident of the area her entire life and enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and her grandchildren. She had a strong faith in Christ and was a member of The Ridge Church in Pea Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bobby Joe and Micheal Morris; her first husband, Billy Joe Morris; a brother, Raymond King; and two sisters, Dorthie Tate and Edith Marie Langstaff.
Survivors are her husband, Homer Glen Mahurin of the home; three brothers, Carl King, Harold King and Ronald King of Garfield; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Mahurin Cemetery in Garfield.
Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Betty Jean Williams
Betty Jean Williams, 86, of Shell Knob, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark. She was born July 21, 1930, in Pritchett, Colo., to Hosea and Ethel (Riddle) Ellis.
In 1952 in Garfield, Ark., she was united in marriage to Harold Ray Williams who preceded her in death.
She graduated high school in Canon, Colo. She grew up riding horses at a young age and continued her love of horses and riding until she was 78 years old. She loved the outdoors and always had a beautiful flower garden. Her church was very important to her, serving in the card ministry, working wherever she was needed and especially “Operation Christmas Child.” She was known as the “Bread Lady” keeping neighbors, church dinners and friends well supplied with hot rolls, sweet rolls or fresh homemade bread.
She spent most of her life as a homemaker but for 11 years she enjoyed working at Walmart.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Clara Ellen.
Survivors are two sons, Mark Williams of Rogers, Ark., and Mike Williams of Westville, Okla.; one daughter, Debora Williams and her husband Matthew Jines of Shell Knob.; two sisters, Sharon Wood of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Barbara Merritt and her husband Allen of Rogers; and grandchildren, Dakota Williams and his wife Christina of Shattuck, Okla., and Tristan Williams of Westville, Okla.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Shell Knob under direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Shell Knob, with pastor Bob Gaddis conducting the services.
Burial was in Mikeman Cemetery in Shell Knob.

James Edward Wilson
James Edward Wilson, 86, of Avoca, Ark., died Oct. 17, 2106, surrounded by his family at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. He was born Feb. 11, 1930, in Combs, Ark., to Clifford James and Bertha Mae Black Wilson.
He retired from Wilbert Vault Company after more than 25 years of service; before going to work for Wilbert he had worked many years for Piles Concrete Vault and Septic Tanks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dora Wilson; one brother, Howard Wilson; one sister, Millie Lois Munson; and stepsons, David Reynolds and Wayne Reynolds.
Survivors include his four children, Betty Wilson Strout and husband Tim of Rogers, Ark., Jim Wilson and wife Linda of Brookhaven, Miss., Bill Wilson and wife Patty of Cullman, Ala., and Bob Wilson and wife Tammy of Madison, N.Y.; his stepson, Kevin Reynolds and wife Julie of Bentonville; step daughters-in-law Lynette Reynolds of Avoca and Patty Pianalto of Springdale, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Jared Strout and wife Meagan, Kristal Williams, Cody McCullough, Kelsie McCullough, Amber Wilson, Austin Wilson, Brandon Reynolds and wife Cassie, Nathan Reynolds, and Christopher Burnside and wife Crissy; nine great-grandchildren, Nick, Kailey, Branden, Amorie, Brinley, Camden, Caden, Kennedy, and Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, in Bluff Cemetery in Springdale.
Pallbearers were Jared Strout, Cody McCullough, Nathan Reynolds, Jim Wilson, Bill Wilson and Bob Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local animal shelter in his memory.
