Teen volunteers sought

- MEGAN BRYANT Pea Ridge Librarian

Hello, fellow Pea Ridge family.

I hope you all had a wonderful spring break. The library staff would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who helped with our book sale. The Girl Scout troop was amazing. They worked very hard for a good week coming in to price and clean up books. Then, they helped set up all the books in an organized fashion in our community room.

Betty Wassman was our life saver! She helped organize the books and checked out our patrons. The book sale was a great success. Surprisingly we are looking forward to our next one.

There is lots of fun at the library in the month of April. Events include:

• April 3 and 17 — Lego Club

• April 6 and 20 — Chess and Checkers Club

• April 10 — Sixth-grade Book Club

• April 12 — Seventh- and eighth-grade Book Club

• April 13 — Adult Book Club

• April 24 — High School Book Club

Don’t forget Story hour and craft at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday. Adult Coloring is at 2 p.m. every Tuesday.

The library is taking applications for teen volunteers who are 13 years and older. We have a wonderful opportunity for young adults to earn volunteer hours and skills needed in the work force. Swing by the library and pick up an application. As always we love our adult volunteers as well!
