OBITUARY
Mary Lee Adams
Mary Lee Adams, 88, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died July 6, 2017, at Concordia Nursing and Rehab in Bella Vista, Ark. She was born April 2, 1929, in Pea Ridge to Herbert Lee Givens and Lola Mabel Carden Givens.
She graduated from Pea Ridge High School in 1947. On April 10, 1948, she married Charles Adams in West Chicago, Ill., and they were married 63 years before his death in 2011. The couple moved back to Pea Ridge where they made their home. She was employed at the Benton County Collectors Office as an assistant tax collector for 23 ½ years before her retirement in 1991.
She became a member of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge in 1946.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Adams; and two sons, Curtis Lynn and Jerry Don Adams.
Survivors are a son, Mike Adams (Frances) of Bella Vista; two grandchildren, Josh Adams (Amy) of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Nathan Adams (Lindsay) of Bentonville, Ark.; two great-granddaughters, Sarah Grace Adams of Ft. Smith and Sidney Lynn Adams of Bentonville; one great-grandson, Evan David Adams of Bentonville; and her good friend of more than 60 years, Janella Buttry of Pea Ridge.
Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 10, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.
Service was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with Pastor Al Fowler officiating.
Burial was in the Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
