Colors Day maids selected
Seven young ladies were selected by their peers for the 2018 Blackhawk Colors Day court and one will be crowned Friday evening as the Colors Day maid 2018.
Attendants are Dixie Rose Swadley and Asher Poteete. Dixie, 6, is the daughter of Emma and Calvin Swadley. Asher, 6, is the son of Asa and Chelsea Poteete. Both of them are in Mrs. Kennemer’s class at Pea Ridge Primary School.
Lexie Garrett
Lexie Garrett, daughter of Jeffery and Jennifer Garrett and granddaughter of Vicky Key, has been a resident of Pea Ridge her entire life.
She is vice president of DECA and student manager at The NEST. She works at “cultivating kindness at 7Brew.” Her hobbies include watching Dr. Phil, hanging out with friends and “calling them Hogs with my stepdad.”
Her favorite social media is Instagram, favorite movie is “Remember the Titans,” and favorite song is “No Scrubs” by TLC.

Sarah Beth Henderson
Sarah Beth Henderson, daughter of Lizan Long and Hank Henderson and granddaughter of Mary and Billy Henderson of Portland, Ark., and Billy Joe Moody of Fort Smith, has been in Pea Ridge for four years.
She is a member of the Pea Ridge FFA, Student Leadership University, Studio 412 and NWAHSA. She enjoys riding horses, hiking, traveling and doing yoga.

Catherine Hooten
Catherine Hooten, daughter of Cherry Hooten and Morgan Burch, and granddaughter of Sue and Joe Hooten, Windsor, Mo, and Dewey and Darlene Conrad of Clinton, Mo, has been in Pea Ridge for seven years.
She is a member of the Lady Blackhawks basketball team, softball team, FCA, National Honors Society, Gifted and Talented program and is class secretary. She enjoys hanging out with friends. Her hobbies are hiking, hunting, sports and swimming.

Julia Kelley
Julia Kelley is the daughter of Michael and Wendie Kelley. Her grandparents live in Idaho and California. She has lived in Pea Ridge for about a year.
She belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoys baking, cooking, hanging out with family and friends, swimming, playing sports and making movies/music videos

Brooklyn Stewart
Brooklyn Stewart, daughter of Amber and David Stewart, and granddaughter of Robbie and Carolin Robins of Pea Ridge and Dan and Rhonda Stewart of Fort Smith, has been in Pea Ridge since kindergarten.
She is a manager of the Lady Blackhawk basketball team and is a member of the National Honor Society. She is a member of FCA and First Baptist Church, Rogers.

Anika Wales
Anika Wales, daughter of Cathy and Gary Wales of Washburn, Mo., is a native of Pea Ridge. She is a member of the Lady Blackhawks Basketball team. Outside of school, she is on a shooting team. She attends Cornerstone Assembly. Her hobbies include church activities, hanging with family and playing basketball with friends.

Kiley West
Kiley West, daughter of Aaron and Kristy West and granddaughter of Robert and Kathy West of Camdenton, Mo., William Nichols of Pineville, Mo, and Melissa Willis of Rogers, Ark., has been in Pea Ridge for 12 years.
She is a member of the Lady Blackhawk basketball team, vice president of the Student Council, a member of the National Honors Society and class treasurer. She works cattle on her family’s farm. Her hobbies include reading, swimming, playing basketball and spending time with her friends and family.
