Robert Louis Jines
Robert Louis Jines, 69, of, Pea Ridge, Ark., died Feb. 20, 2018, in his home.
He was born July 15, 1948, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Robert Earle Jines and Billie Allen Jines. He graduated from Springdale High School in 1966, then attended the University of Arkansas and graduated from Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Mo.
He married Carolyn Faye Werremeyer on Feb. 17, 1968, and served the U.S. Army overseas in Vietnam in 1969. He taught elementary school in Monett, Mo., for several years and worked for American National Insurance in Pea Ridge. He worked for Walmart General Offices and was in manager training for the Cassville, Mo., Walmart and an assistant manager for the McAlester, Okla., Walmart store. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his Ford Mustangs.
He served as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Viburnum, Mo., and was a member of The Ridge Church in Pea Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Carolyn of the home; a son, Michael Jines of Mt. Hood, Ore.; two daughters, Cathy Yockey and husband Eddie of Pea Ridge and Stacy Luper and husband Lonnie of Fayetteville; a brother, Matt Jines and wife Debbie of Shell Knob, Mo.; a sister, Margaret Cheek and husband Jim of Pea Ridge; a grandson, Zach Coor of Fayetteville; and five granddaughters, Mie Bach-Pederson of Denmark, Katharina Koster of Germany, Alessia Julmy of Switzerland, Oline Brekke of Norway and Benedetta Pigiani of Italy.
Visitation was 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, in the funeral home.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
