Argie Lon Miller, 75, died March 2, 2018, at the Veterans Hospital in Fayettevil­le, Ark., with his family by his side. He was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Rudd, Ark., to Loyd and Sarah (Chaney) Miller.

He served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Afterwards, he returned to his hometown of Pea Ridge, Ark., where he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years. In later years, he looked forward to drinking coffee and conversing with his friends at the E-Z Mart. His love for cats was prominent throughout his life; he was quite passionate about the care of his cats. He will always be remembered as a gentle, kind and loving soul.

He was a dedicated man to his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Carroll C. Miller.

Survivors include his loving wife; daughters, Jeri Lynn Miller and Misty Miller; son, Bryan P. Miller; grandchild­ren, Bryan C. Miller, Cory Lee Davidson, Sebastian P. Miller, Justin Shane Davidson, Calvin A. Miller (Josie) and Karley Lynn Millsap; great-grandchild, Ezra A. Miller; sister, Charlotte Nyberg (Emil); sister-in-law, Mary Lee Miller (Carroll); several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, in the Fayettevil­le National Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Humane Society in honor of Argie L. Miller.

The family wants to extend their appreciati­on and thankfulne­ss for the loving compassion­ate care that he received at the VA Hospital (Heroes’ Haven).
