Timothy Paul Brandes

-

Timothy Paul Brandes, 47, of Garfield, died Aug. 29, 2018. He was born July 29, 1971, in Winona, Minn.

He loved to fish and hunt anything from arrowheads and mushrooms to frogs and deer. Growing up, he spent his young life between small towns in Wisconsin and Arkansas. As a young adult, he chose to settle and remain in rural Arkansas, always in remote places that were hard to get to but surrounded by natural beauty. He lived very simply and humbly, however always contentedly. He worked in construction, as a machinist; usually in any area that required hands-on involvement. He worked for Henderson Enterprises off and on most of his adult life and most recently was a welder for the same employer. He was always a hard worker and achieved his goal of owning his own home and property. He was given the opportunity to celebrate the last weeks of his life with friends and family from all over the U.S. and he took full advantage of the time he had. He recently made a profession of faith and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Survivors are Pat, his greatest love, of the home; Sammy, his greatest treasure, of the home; mother, Pam York of Eureka Springs; father, Rick Brandes of Fountain City, Wis.; sisters, Rici Gibbons of La Crosse, Wis., and Kim Reiter of Richland, Mo.; best friend and mentor, Jimmy Henderson (Patsy) of Eureka Springs.
