Darlean Lois Rust
Darlean Lois Rust, 85, of Springdale, died Aug. 28, 2018. She was born Oct. 4, 1932, in Wabannsee, Kan., to Clyde and Lillian Gustin Hilbish.
She was a homemaker and spent many years as owner and operator of many gas stations. She loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rust; sons, Albert R. Rust and Eddie L. Rust; brother, Ralph Hilbish; sister, Donis Jewett; son-inlaw, Phillip Scranton; one grandson; and two greatgranddaughters. Survivors include her son, Howard Rust and wife Marvena of Prairie Grove; daughters, Rose Scranton of Elkins and Tena Watson and husband Kimmy of Huntsville; daughtersin-law, Karen Rust of Pea Ridge and Cheryl Rust of Rogers; sister, Leanna Geurin of Texas; 21 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 12 great-greatgrandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to the workers at Meadowview Health and Rehab in Huntsville and Washington Regional Hospice.
Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in Memorial Funeral Home, Springdale.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave. in Springdale, with Howard Rust officiating.
Burial was in Zion Cemetery in Fayetteville.
Pallbearers were David Rust, Bobby Wray Rust, Lee Graham, Christopher Rust, Jason Peavler and Bobby Joe Rust. Honorary pallbearers were Darrell Rust, Kimmy Watson, Chad Ham, Brian Reed, Cory Beavers and Toby Beavers.
