Ruby Elizabeth Upshaw
Ruby Elizabeth Upshaw, 95, of Springdale, died September 16,
2018, in Springdale. She was born July 24, 1923, in Hindsville, to Jim Wade and Nellie (Lane) Wade.
She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, greatgrandmother and aunt. She retired from baby sitting after 40 years and she loved each and every one of the children she cared for each day.
Anyone who had known her knew she loved to cook and she would cook for anyone who walked through her front door. She loved crocheting and quilting. She loved fishing and she loved spending time with her family and church family but most of all she loved the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Earl W. Upshaw; her son, Jerrell D. Upshaw; her grandchildren, Rudyard Upshaw and Richard Upshaw; her sisters, Evelyn Donaghey, Floy Kelly and Ova Hodges; and her brothers, Jimmy Wade and Joe Wade.
Survivors are her son, Earl Jr. Upshaw and wife Barbara of Spokane, Wash.; Jerrell Upshaw’s wife Barbara S. Upshaw of Pea Ridge; her grandchildren, Rudy and wife Patricia Upshaw of Tulsa, Okla., Mark and wife Tricia Upshaw of Pea Ridge and Heather Upshaw of Spokane; great-grandchildren, Josh Upshaw, Cody Upshaw, Taylor Upshaw, Jade McDougall, Dustin Upshaw and Olivia Upshaw; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and loved ones.
Visitation was at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, prior to the service.
Funeral service was at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, in Sisco Funeral Chapel, Springdale, with pastor Ray Main officiating and eulogy by Mark Upshaw.
Burial followed at Friendship Cemetery.
