Ramona Kathline Beard
Ramona Kathline Beard, 73, of Garfield, died Nov. 26, 2018, in Northwest
Medical
Center in Bentonville.
She was born March 24, 1945, in Bakersfield, Calif., to William Kiser Swearingen and Inez Roland Swearingen.
She moved from Bakersfield to Garfield 11 years ago to make her home. She was a cook at R.E. Baker Elementary School in Bentonville for five years and enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She loved taking care of her family especially her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Heather Adkins.
Survivors are four daughters, Angelina Christensen of Imperial, Neb., Machael Ray (Kenneth) of Seligman, Mo., Nancy Brown (Chris) of Garfield and Crystal Donato of Bakersfield; siblings, Judy Waggner, Paula Carreno, Bill Swearingen and Douglas Swearingen; 13 grandchildren, Stori, Courtney, Destiny, Violet, Centhany, Suzanna, Ida, Joel, Aaron, Tiana, Steven, Tim and Dakota; and great-grandchildren, Zaya, Isabelle and one on the way.
Service was 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge, Ark.
Burial was in Ruddick Cemetery.

Rehab in Bentonville. She was born Sept. 27, 1928, in Garfield, to Albert Lee Shaffer and Maggie Byler Shaffer.
She was a Christian and enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Carolyn Cowan; two brothers, Loyd Shaffer and Joe Shaffer; and one sister, Sharon Nash.
Survivors are her husband, David Canoy of Bentonville; one brother, Howard Shaffer (Frances) of Rogers; three sisters, Lorie Hollaway of Richland, Wash., Lula Gacs of Rogers and Marie Main of Bentonville; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nine great-greatgrandchildren.
Service was at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge.
Burial was in Ruddick Cemetery.

Betty Sue DeWitt
Betty Sue DeWitt, 81, of Pea Ridge, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, in Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born July 18, 1937, in Marble, to Arthur Albert Lynch and Sarah Ann McCollough Lynch.
She enjoyed reading and being around children. She was a member of the Pea Ridge Church of the Nazarene where she was very active.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tracey DeWitt; her parents; and a sister, Reba Pyatt.
Survivors are one daughter, Pamela Cox of Pea Ridge; three sons, David Henry (Pansy) of Bentonville, Bryan Henry (Maryanne) of Washburn, Mo., and Greg Henry (Tonya) of Georgetown, Texas; two sisters, Helen Pierce (Tommy) of Chanute, Mont., and Kathy Walker (Gale) of Bella Vista; three brothers, Max Lynch of Bella Vista, Jim Lynch (Eva Sue) of Fayetteville, and Don Lynch (Phyllis) of Houston, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge.
Funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.
Burial was in Bentonville City Cemetery.
