Joy Arnold

Joy Arnold, 62, of Pea Ridge, died April 15, 2020, in her home. She was born

Dec. 10, 1957, in Dover, Delaware, to Robert

Moore and

Shirley Elliot Moore.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and crossword puzzles. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Lester Arnold.

Survivors are her husband, Jess Arnold of the home; a son, Jeff Arnold and wife Angie of Pea Ridge; a grandson, Cooper Arnold; and two siblings, Bonnie and Freddie Sutton.

There was no visitation scheduled.

A private family graveside service was held Saturday, April 18, in Arnold Cemetery in Pea Ridge.

Nelda McKissick Hayes

Nelda McKissick Hayes, 84, of Asheboro, N.C., died Tuesday, April

14, 2020, in

Cross Road Retirement Community.

She was born on Aug. 10, 1935, to Houston and Wilma McDonald McKissick in Houston, Texas.

She was formerly employed with the state of Louisiana and retired from the state of Arkansas. She was very involved with the Nazarene church where she played the piano and organ and was the director of children’s programs.

She was a tremendous mother and the best wife. She was a positive lady who loved to laugh. Her favorite quotes were “This too shall pass” and “Bloom where you are planted.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-inlaw, Sheree Hayes.

Survivors are her husband, Robert Alvis “Bob” or “Sonny” Hayes; children, Charlie Hayes and wife Suzanne of Asheboro, N.C., Wanda Baker and husband Anthony of Rogers, Ark., Kenneth Hayes of Pea Ridge, and Kathy Dawson and husband Jim of Asheboro, N.C.; 10 grandchild­ren; 32 greatgrand­children; brother, Hugh McKissick and wife Carole of San Marcus, Texas; and sister, Sharon M. Hall and husband Danny of Corsicana, Texas.

Due to covid-19, a private family service was held.

Patricia Mae Musteen

Patricia Mae Musteen, 90, of Pea Ridge, died April 16, 2020, in Magnolia Place in

Rogers. She was born Oct. 20, 1929, in Garfield to John Chesley

Mitchell and

Oma Alice Widders

Mitchell.

She enjoyed watching Razorback sports. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years, a daily devotional reader and a prayer warrior, she liked to flower garden and loved magnolias, she especially enjoyed planning scavenger hunts for her grandkids. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Margie Ford; a son, David Musteen; a brother, Byron Mitchell; and three sisters, Eufaula Abbott, Doris Walker and Virgie Hazelton.

Survivors are a daughter, Debbie Phillips and husband David of Pea Ridge; four grandchild­ren, Leisa Still of Seligman, Mo., Stephanie Dohse and husband Jim of Bella Vista, Nathan Musteen and wife Anita of Raymore, Mo., Mitzi Horn and husband Zach of Pea Ridge; and nine great-grandchild­ren.

There was no visitation scheduled.

A private family graveside was held Monday, April 20, in Pea Ridge Cemetery.

A public celebratio­n of life will be held at a later date.

Arrangemen­ts were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
