Iva Dean Roberts
Iva Dean Roberts, 82, of Garfield, died March
28, 2021, in Mercy
Hospital in
Rogers. She was born in Coffeeville,
Kan., Sept.
23, 1938, to Gordon Denver Luther and Blendena Richardson Luther.
She was a teacher’s aide for 14 years at Elmwood Jr. High in Rogers. She enjoyed her goats, her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She loved her dogwoods on her property and reading her Bible. She was a member of Boundless Grace Church in Little Flock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Roberts; and a sister.
Survivors are her children, Kevin Roberts of Louisiana, Curtis Roberts of Bentonville, and Christopher Roberts of Arizona; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, in Sisco Funeral Home Chapel, Pea Ridge.
Graveside service was at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1, in Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield.
Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Connie Jean Thompson
Connie Jean Thompson, 65, of Pea Ridge, died March 30, 2021, in her home. She was born April 7, 1955, in Lakeport, Calif., to Johnnie “Jay” Hatfield and Thelma “Jean” Greene Hatfield.
Connie moved to Pea Ridge at the age of 5 with her mother, Jean, who later married Daryle Greene and raised Connie as his own. In 1972, she got her first job at IGA in Pea Ridge. She then worked at BareBrands Hosiery where she made pantyhose, which was her most memorable job. In 1984, she began working at Daisy BB Guns, where she met and married Tommy Thompson. When she was pregnant with Lindsey she opened her own in-home daycare here in Pea Ridge. Following in her mother’s footsteps she helped raise hundreds of children, several now grown with children of their own. For 30 years, two generations of families have been touched by Ms. Connie and her daycare in Pea Ridge. Connie loved being a Nana, camping, gardening, collecting
Denim Days and putting together puzzles.
She attended First Baptist Church in Washburn, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Ron Hatfield.
Survivors are her children, Dawnitta Henson and husband Darin of Pea Ridge, Rodney Long and wife Brett of Pea Ridge, Jesse Thompson of Garfield and Lindsey Charles and husband Brandon of Pea Ridge; and six grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley, Logan, Landen, Hunter, Hattie and one more on the way.
Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021, in First Baptist Church, Pea Ridge.
Service was at 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, in First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.
Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
Burial was in the Pea Ridge Cemetery.
