The Pea Ridge City Council will discuss a contract for engineerin­g services for the Water Department and an ordinance for annexation at its regular monthly meeting Tuesday. Other items on the agenda include employee evaluation­s for Sandy Easley, court clerk and officer manager, Cerilla Doyle, police officer.

When is a green wall not a green wall? When it’s the back drop for an audio-visual camera set and appears to be a brick wall or the inside of an office or a map of the area. The green wall provides a canvas on which video equipment can place a background for the person being interviewe­d. It’s part of the new AV classes and labs taught by Mark Laster.

After operating on school property for 19 years, Head Start no longer has a lease with the Pea Ridge School District. Leases signed in 2008 were declared null and void by Pea Ridge School Board.

City Council member Ray Easley, appointed to fill a vacancy created when Jack Kelly moved out of the city, said he plans to file for election. Steve Guthrie, appointed to fill a vacancy created when John Cody resigned, said he intends to file for election.
