There are many activities this month at library
Now that 2023 is in the books, it’s time to look forward to making 2024 a great year!
First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who donated to the library this past year or volunteered their time. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We are looking to expand the programs we offer to the community and would love your feedback. If you have a great idea, please reach out. We are here to serve the community and want you to enjoy visiting the library.
We are doing a little sprucing up around the library. Last year we had new flooring installed and in the coming weeks we will have a new circulation desk with an exciting feature – a drop box!
December was a very busy month with many programs, so we are going to slow it down just a little in January. In addition to our regular programs, we will have another day of Sip & Solve on Friday, Jan. 12, for those of you who can’t resist a good puzzle.
At 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, we are having a Senior Social Hour. This is a time set aside for the seniors in our community to get together. It’s a time to play a game of cards, work on a puzzle, or simply meet someone new.
We will start our Artistic Adventures again this month. However, we are making a slight adjustment. It will only be once a month for ages 7- to 16-year-olds. It will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23. If you have some budding artists, or beginning artists, in your family, make sure and stop by.
The Friends of the Library will have a couple of informal, informational meetings this month. We are trying to get a fantastic group of people together who enjoy supporting our library. The dates for the meetings are 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17. We would love for you to join us and become involved in your local library.
Please check our Facebook page, Pea Ridge Community Library, for more information regarding upcoming events or better yet, stop by the library and pick up a calendar. We would love to visit with you!
