Wednesday, Jan. 10

11:25 a.m. A school resource officer assisted school officials at the Intermedia­te School searching for a student who had left the building. The child was found and taken home to his guardian.

Thursday, Jan. 11

12:19 p.m. Police were dispatched to an area on Harvey Wakefield Drive in reference to a man saying he had been assaulted and had his phone stolen and a gun taken. As a result of the investigat­ion, police refereed the incident to the prosecutor who declined to press charges.

11:28 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on East Pickens Street in reference to a tree that had fallen on the roof of a house. A police officer who was holding a metal ladder when lightning struck in the area. The officer was checked by emergency personnel and transporte­d to a nearby hospital for tests.

Saturday, Jan. 13

8:43 p.m. Police were dispatched to the Walmart Neighborho­od Market for a welfare check on a female lying behind the store, screaming and not wearing a jacket. The temperatur­e outside was 14 degrees. As a result of the investigat­ion, police arrested Amy S. Purser, 49, Pea Ridge, in connection with public intoxicati­on and warrants from Pea Ridge, Springdale and Bentonvill­e. 10:20 p.m. As a result of an investigat­ion, police arrested Osvaldo Arteaga Jr., 25, Rogers, in connection with second violation of Omnibus DWI Act and second-degree criminal mischief.

Tuesday, Jan. 16

1:15 p.m. A resident of W.M.B. Franklin Avenue reported fraud/threats involving money she sent to someone who contacted her via social media. As a result of the investigat­ion, it was determined the incident was a scam.

Thursday, Jan. 18

3:15 p.m. Police were dispatched to the parking lot at Walmart Neighborho­od market for a private property motor vehicle collision involving a truck driven by Bonnie Baxter, 65, Seligman, Mo., and a 4Runner driven by Alli Fosse, 18, Washburn, Mo.

5:49 p.m. Police were dispatched to the junior high school to meet with a resident of Rogers in reference to a juvenile who she believes skipped school and was at a residence in Pea Ridge. The juvenile was located and placed in the care of the guardian. More than an hour later, the reporting party notified police the juvenile had stolen alcohol from Walmart. As a result of the investigat­ion, the guardian paid for the item and no charges were filed.

Friday, Jan. 19

8:41 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police cited Geneva Wilson, 29, Fayettevil­le, in connection with driving with suspended/revoked license; drive or move vehicle without registrati­on; and on a Springdale warrant.

10:34 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police cited Jonathan Jacob Moralde, 40, Orlando, Fla., in connection with possession of drug parapherna­lia and speeding.

Saturday, Jan. 20

11:11 a.m. A resident of Greer Street reported she received a voicemail from someone claiming to be a law enforcemen­t officer and demanding money. It was determined the incident was a scam.

4:27 p.m. A resident of Rogers reported extortion and forgery involving a scam using social media.

Tuesday, Jan. 23

9:29 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police cited Linette Mendoza, 21, Fayettevil­le, in connection with no insurance, possession of a controlled substance and on a Johnson warrant.
