We were so happy to have had 65 new patrons sign up for the library cards the past couple of months. We always enjoy meeting new people and showing them the fantastic things we are doing here at the library.

If you are new to the area or have lived here for awhile and never been in, we encourage you to stop by and get your card. Library cards are free and it’s a quick, easy process to sign up.

March is gearing up to be a very busy month. There are currently 29 scheduled programs for this month. There is something for everyone!

We are currently in the process of starting a Seed Library with the Friends of the Library group. We have been very fortunate to receive seed donations from some businesses and we would like to thank them for their generosity. Seed donations were provided by Bradford Yard Living & Landscaping, Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company and Annie’s Heirloom Seeds.

We were also gifted a $250 donation from one of the community members to put towards the purchase of seeds. We will kick off our Seed Library on March 19. We will have two programs that day hosted by a local Master Gardener. There will be one at 11:30 for kids ages 5-10 and another program at 1:30 for adults. Both programs will require registration that will be posted on our Facebook page closer to the date.

We also have some fun programs scheduled for families during Spring Break week. We will have a movie at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 18, and Bingo at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 21.

At 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22, we will host Maker Fashion with the Amazeum. The program is for ages 6-12.

At 2 p.m. on Friday, March 22, we will have a family program with someone from Hobbs State Park. I am told she will be bringing a collection of mammal furs and skulls that are common in our area.

There are so many more things planned!

Be sure to follow our Facebook page for more information. Also, make sure and pick up a calendar of events the next time you stop by the library. Hope to see you soon!
