Friday, April 12, was “Lucy Day” at Brightwater, and the honoree, Mrs. Lucy Mayfield, was proclaimed as honorary mayor of the town.
The Pea Ridge School bands will be presented in their annual Spring Concert Sunday, April 28, in the elementary school cafeteria at 2 p.m.
The Pea Ridge National Military Park superintendent Lionel J. Bienvenu announced new hours of operation for the park. Effective April 28, the park will be open to visitors from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week.

The City of Pea Ridge is inviting sealed bids for purchase of surplus equipment following inventory of articles stored at the city storage facility on Davis Street.

Prior to the beginning of its meeting April 20, the Pea Ridge City Council held a public hearing on the question of the execution of a lease-purchase agreement between the city and First Security Bank to finance various equipment and improvements.
At its meeting Tuesday, May 4, the Pea Ridge Planning Commission will consider three rezoning requests and review three subdivision plats.
The Pea Ridge City Council overruled a Planning Commission decision by voting to allow smaller lots in a new subdivision at its meeting on April 20.
