The sci-fi fan­tasy is a hit at the box of­fice— and with Kid­man’s young daugh­ters. “They loved it!” says the star, who plays the queen of At­lantis.

Big Lit­tle Lies

She won an Emmy last fall for her work on the HBO drama, which she also ex­ec­u­tive-pro­duces. The second sea­son—adding Meryl Streep to the all-star cast—pre­mieres in June.

In the new movie Kid­man plays the as­sis­tant to a quad­ri­plegic (Bryan Cranston) who learns to en­joy life again after a tragic ac­ci­dent.


Kid­man threw her­self into her gritty, Golden Globenom­i­nated performance as a dam­aged LAPD cop in the drama, out now. “I’m com­mit­ted to the part no mat­ter where it takes you,” she says.

Kid­man (at age 20 in 1988) be­gan her act­ing ca­reer at 14.
