WINE NOT?

SEE, SWIRL, SNIFF, SIP, AND SAVOR SPRING’S BEST BOTTLES DURING PHILLY WINE WE .

- BY BRIAN FREEDMAN

Now in its third year, Philly Wine Week (phillywineweek.org), March 19 to 26, will be highlighting the grape in all kinds of interesting and delicious ways at more than 60 restaurants and bars. Here, four oenophile favorites for raising a glass.

PANORAMIC VIEW

Panorama general manager and Wine Director Bill Eccleston cofounded Philly Wine Week with Kate Moroney, of Vintage Wine Bar & Bistro, in 2014. The wine program Eccleston has developed over the years, including more than 150 wines by the glass, is one of the city’s most notable for Italian reds like the Cantina Frentana Terre Valse Montepulciano and stunning American beauties like the Billsboro Semi-dry Riesling. HIGH STEAKS

Wine Week is yet another reason to head on up to that regal, second-floor aerie that is Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse. Pair one of the legendary steaks with a phenomenal bottle of Iuli Rossore 2012, a deeply expressive California red like the Merriam Cabernet Franc 2011, or one of the restaurant’s exquisite private-label wines. 111 S. 17th St., 215-5634810; davios.com/phil
