Fave fare: “My favorite Italian dish is the proudly inauthenti­c veal parm. I grew up on it and it’s still the meaning of comfort food for me.” Behind the scenes at Palizzi: Òchef Joey Baldino makes his spaghetti and crabs just like my mom does! When I ate this dish at Palizzi, I couldn’t believe how much it tasted like my family’s version. It’s remarkable because while Baldino and I are both South Philly natives of ItalianAme­rican descent, our families come from different parts of Italy. Yet the flavors here are the same.”
