looking GOOD!!
Three Philadelphia tastemakers reveal their tried- and- true health, beauty and wellness routines.
RAHEL SOLOMON
Rahel Solomon, who grew up in West Philadelphia and Upper Darby, assumed coanchoring duties this year at CBS3’S Eyewitness News This Morning and Eyewitness News at Noon. Not bad for someone who started in the biz only six years ago as a production assistant for NBC10. Solomon moved to the United States from the Sudan with her family when she was 3 years old. The Archbishop Prendergast High alum, who edited the school’s newspaper in Drexel Hill, got a finance degree from St. John’s University before switching her career track to journalism. After earning a master’s degree from Northwestern’s worldclass program, Solomon learned the ropes in Charleston, South Carolina; West Virginia; and Denver before returning to her hometown. Her weekdays begin at 1am to be ready for her 4:30am broadcast. Rise and shine indeed. 1 “Kenra Volume Spray is my go-to at work.” $18, ULTA BEAUTY, 1619 WALNUT ST.; CHLOE.COM 2 “I use Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant. The exfoliator is in a powder form, so the bottle lasts years. I use this with my Clarisonic brush, and it gives my skin a nice glow.” $58, BLUEMERCURY, 1707 WALNUT ST., BLUEMERCURY.COM 3 “The folks at Philadelphia Runner helped me find the New Balance 860V7 Reflection with Poisonberry & Pigment. There’s great support, so I’m protected when I’m running, and I also love the colors.” $124.99, 1601 SANSOM ST., PHILADELPHIARUNNER.COM 4 “I studied abroad with a classmate who wore Chloé religiously, so the scent reminds me of France to this day.” 4.2 FL.
